Well, here it goes. My ending plan is all will be meadow green, except rims, wheel weights, and grill. Those will be either gloss white or if I can find it, clover white. I will be adding the decals for "770" on the side. Can any one guess what I'm modeling this after? Austin and Hugh, please don't say.:fing32:

If I end up not going out of town over spring break I will be taking the dash and grill off and painting those. $40 will get my 6 cans of paint. I already have 2 cans of clear coat and one can of primer, some where around the house here. Winter has disorganized every thing again..:banghead3

Here's before, it was very pitted and nasty. I sanded a bit and did not use any bondo, I also left all the dents/bends in it because each one has history of it's own.

:thanku::fing32:

EDIT:Any one know where I can get a new decal for the grill, the current one is pretty much held on with bubble gum....

gunna guess an oliver..... probably like the one you have in your signature....
:ditto:

As far as the decal, I made mine from a printer and laminated it when I restored the 16/6- I don't know about longevity, but they looged good and cost about $1.00 (which was my wifes money :D)

Bill, that thing will look cool!!! Long as you don't put yellow on it :D

:thanku: There will be absolutely no yellow on this tractor other than the foam in the seat... That is if I don't get an iron seat. I'm using the wrong green to add yellow too, this is a much deeper darker green than JD.

Johnnyby68, yup it's Oliver.

As for JD....:thSick:

I'm not sure how long they are, I will pull one out tonight when I go outside to get a few things.

Plan is right now to get the belt cover done, I sanded last summer and never touched it. I have maybe just enough to do it, half a can of green and 3 cans of clear coat.... I started off with 5 cans of each...:banghead3 Some where the math went wrong.

I believe the bolt is 8" long, with it raining and sleeting outside I was not able to take one off to measure it.

It could be 10" too, just guessing from looking at it.

:thanku:

John, I bolted one wheel weight onto the tractor, then bolted the other weight to that weight... Sears made provisions for that when they cast them
