It's a start...

Frankly, right now, I'm stumped. I don't know if those numbers (as well as how they're applied and where) will help anyone else or not. I'd say that they sound kind of like a casting code.

Can you get a couple of pictures? The tractor overall, for starters, and then that code.

Might help (couldn't hurt)...

well i dont have any pics right now the tractor was given to me and i cant figure out what model it is i know it has jubilee metal but the symbol is missing. it has the distributor on the side wich from what i hear confirms that it is a naa model im still new to this however so i apologize for my stupidity haha

Oh no!!!! There's no need to apologize!! We ALL started off knowing nothing about these tractors.

Answer these quick questions and let's see where we get to...
1. Is it an overhead valve engine or a flathead?
2. How many forward gears in the primary transmission?
3. Is there an 'external' hydraulic pump on the tractor (mounted on the right side of the engine, as you're seated on the tractor, right at the seam between the transmission housing and the engine block)?
4. Is it a 'standard' wide front end Ford or is it, maybe, an offset tractor... or even a narrow front end?

well its a wide front end it has some hydraulic lines that run under the seat and then som that run into a starter shaped metal thing at the right rear of the motor (same side as the distributor) it has a giant loader on the front of it. its sitting in the field where it was left to die im trying to get it running so it doesnt meet the shredder as was planned a lady is giving it to me if i can make it run again but the wiring is a mess and im getting no spark. anyway thats why im having trouble finding numbers and things the ohio winter isnt helping me

If you can get the serial number off of it that will help us to identify the beast for you. There is info in the sticky section to help you locate the s/n.

The 501 number is a casting copde #. In that same area is a production date code. Post those #.
You said the wiring a mess and have no spark. go back and read my post. You only need 2 wires to get it started. one from the battery side of the soleniod to the coil and one from the coil to the dist. If you don't have spark then, check your points spark plug wires and spark plugs.

So...

You have either...
An NAA (1953 or 1954)
A 640 (1955 - 1958)
or
An 840 (1955 - 1958)

Look here for the serial number and model number

Post those numbers back here... and let's see what we've got

(If it's an early NAA then the numbers MAY be on the block... left side, rear... just below the head).

Unless you are talking about a different tractor then the one pictured, The one pictured has no emblem that I see. It would say jubilee or NAA. Either one would have power steering anyway. and the 501# would have an NAA in front of it like the one in the photo.

Cyclop hood styling was used up into the early thousand series at least until Aug 1962.
It's best to look at the photo steve posted for tractor ID. You can also pop the hood and on the radiator there will be a date code on top IF original. Also check the botttom half of the engine block for casting and production date code, both sides.
If this is a Ran when parked ten years ago I think you should be able to get it started as long as the engine isn't stuck and has compression. Ad some spark and gas. Although not work ready I'm sure there will be issues but it should run. Pm or email me with any questions.
