so theres a gravely for sale by me, its a 424 with a 40 inch snowblower, the blower looks good but the guy cant get that tractor out of his barn or w/e until spring, or until alot of the snow melts. so since the guy doesnt have a ton of info on it i was wondering are they hydros, any PTO's on them, and how good are the snowblowers? the last snowblower i had i didnt like the fact it was only one stage not 2, and i like how gravely r 2 stage blowers. also could i get a 3 point hitch for this lil tank?

it's all gear drive, a mid mount pto that with a driveshaft, drives the snowblower. I love my ma210 blower, but have never used one on a 4 wheeler. I'm sure it is impressive. Is this the one in or near Poukeepsie NY? If it is, it's been for sale pretty much all winter.

yeah its over around that area, got your eye on it? o and would it have high and low range?
I've noticed it. It's too far for me to go, and not be able to bring it home because snow is in the way of his barn.So I haven't looked at it. And am really only sorta interested in just the tractor itself. I think he is a little high on a blower that is sitting outside rusting personally. Yes, high/low range. Those early 4 wheelers were 2 wheel tractors (basically) with front wheels.

i just like having something loud i can ride around on to **** the neighbors off, and save me some time outside lol, i just love seeing how well things arent made anymore, like whenmy neighbor was plowing 8 inches of snow with his 2 yr old cub cadet and started spinning out (gotta love watching one tire spin and the other one just kinda twitch) that souldnt happen with 300 pounds of suit case weights and 2 link chains on the back. o and BTW, how do you have a garden plow on the front of your tractor? i know theres a conversion kit for the walk behind attatchements.

I have the front PTO attachment on my 8123. Actually it is the one from my 430. I think it could be a good tractor. He said it needs tinkering, and I have no idea what he meant by that. Running right it will put your neighbors cub to shame..........

yeah, im gonna end up getting a plow for it, in my experience, blowers are better when you have a little more snow, more than 18 inches a plow seeme to have trouble, but blowers IMO are meant for deeper snows, this summer i might put an addition on my shed and make it a little garage, assuming my dad will trust a 16 yr old to build a simple structure.

ok, now you have made up my mind. You should buy this! Dicker with him.

Seeing your 16, and probably have never used, or seen an old Gravely in action....you need to get this. Gravely blowers throw snow unbelievably far. I can plow 18 inches of wet, packed snow with the 8123, but the Gravely C10 with the blower laughs at 26 inches of the same wet snow. Talk your dad into the road trip. Once you have owned a Gravely...you will know nothing else is even close!

odds are when he thinks i can get it out ill come the next saturday or sunday. gotta make new new ramps, the bolens snapped the 2x12's kinda easy to ill double up 2x10's. and it 26's wont have a chance at fitting ill just stick with 23's, hopefully the tires wont b the 23x9.5-12's, dont rly make AG's in that size.

I personally prefer using the blower in light, and deep snow because you can put the snow where ever you want. Your yard, the neighbors roof, just about anywhere.
:thThumbsU
You will be AMAZED how far it will throw it.

The MA-210 didn't earn the nickname "Snow Cannon" for tossing snow a couple of feet. They are the best blowers that money can buy. I bought mine last fall and have kicked myself a bunch since then for not getting one years ago.

yeah, but i plan on giving the neighbor a surprize in his driveway, im sure we all know what this means. but yeah i think im gonna go for it, mite try and haggle him down 100 bucks. the blower looks rly nice, prolly needs new bearings tho, he makes it sound like its sat outside a bit. any idea on what these tractors weigh? the truck bed crakes at half a ton lol, cracked a few supports under the truck loading a half ton of bolens in it before.

DJ said a mouthful. My MA210 on my L8 plows through the ickiest stuff, and flings it 30 feet. My 38" blower on my 812 is good for 50 feet. I've (accidentally) used it to toss snow up onto the roof of my barn. I can't think of a reason why an MA211 or a 38" on a 424 wouldn't perform in similar fashion.

jdecker, if you wanna move snow, I don't think you'll find a better machine than a gravely blower, regardless of what machine it's mounted on. Put it in your neighbor's driveway, or on his roof, or whatever :)

I dunno what a 424 weighs, but my 812 weighs about 900 lbs, and the blower is another 250. Bring a sturdy trailer.
