As many of you know, I will be restoring my 1968 Sears Super 12 with a bit of a custom flare to it.

(Oh and I have the elusive 'always missing snoblower grille piece'- payed more than I should have for it, but you NEVER see them for sale!)

I have started gathering parts, and brainstorming so what I have come up with thus far is this:

Color:Rustoleum "Cobalt blue Metallic"
Here is a sample-

The engine: 1967 Sears Super 12 Tecumseh "HH120" (repainted of course) with a custom stack- no baffles, and a custom air cleaner that will come out of the left side of the hood, turn up and sit above the hood line (like a big tractor)

The tires/wheels: 23x10.50-12 Deestone (6ply because they gave me a free upgrade from 4ply due to low stock) Ags mounted on 6" rims, so they are nice and tall, loaded, with a set of Sears Cast wheel weights (possibly mounted inside the wheel),
Image

and the wheels will be two toned to look like a two piece wheel- Cobalt blue metallic, and off white or silver haven't decided yet (that is why I was thinking of mounting the wheel weights inside the rim, so you can see the rim)

(like these cub rear wheels)

The fronts will be my 4.00-8 Deestone tri ribs on Sears Narrow rims,

possible painted two tone as well

The body: the 1968 Chassis, with a 1967 dash and steering wheel (I like that design better), narrowed rear fenders or flat fenders off a suburban 10 (If I get them for the price I want),
Old style 2 bolt mount 3point hitch,

and I plan on making custom front counterweight to look like a big tractor,

and a custom counterweight for the rear- like a big trapezoid shaped concrete block, but to scale with a slow moving vehicle triangle on it.

Lighting:possibly flashing safety lights and maybe an ROPS with lights (not sure, it may look dumb)

I will keep you all updated, as I know we ALL love pictures!! :D
Should be a fun build!

EDIT- My offer on the "flat suburban fenders" was accepted, so it looks like I will be using those!!

I have often thought of building a bracket for suitcase weights fot the front of a GT. If you had a spare mule drive lying around that was bad you could cut the front off and use the part that plugs into the tractor as the mount. They sell cast iron suitcase weights of all sizes, I believe you should be able to find them at Tractor Supply. Three or Four would look just about right I think. As for the air cleaner, what about a Donaldson Oil Bath from a Farmall Cub with a Glass dust bowl top from a Super M?

Suitcase weights are expensive, so I will probably make the counter weight out of concrete and metal, using an old mule drive.

The oil bath cleaner would be cool, but I just want the looks of the aircleaner above the hood... I am thinking of using something like this:

It's off a sears custom

Plus it's much cheaper than an oil bath one

lookin forward to it. I think that you should make flat pieces on the front of the fender and put lights there. ill see if i can find a pic of what im talking about

just like this, with two little circular lights on it. would work well for the design.

Parts started rolling in today!!!

23x10.50-12 Deestone Ags- They upgraded my order to 6 ply from 4ply bacause they were running low on stock of 4 ply - ME HAPPY!!! they are so thick!!!

Expecting more stuff this week!

how tall/wide are they? tru powers were about 22x11 with no air in them

That cobalt Blue looks nice:fing32: Take a look at the rustoleum appliance epoxy paint for the hood and Wheels it comes in white,Bisque,or almond The Bisque looks great I used it on a few it is tough as nails.I did the hood on a cub cadet. And Me and Eveled used Almond on the Allis rims!

Tracktor 312 i will probably use "Canvas White" for the hood and wheels, but I dunno. Maybe I should use white white...

I am open to ideas :)
