Nice fix Eric. Your brake must be really handy. I need a belt guard made for my 59 Suburban from 18 gauge. You're probably too far away though. What part of NH? I'd rather you get the business than some big outfit. Rick

PS solidworks is awsome, Guy I used to work with at the shop (other cnc programmer) now teaches solidworks all around this area. ME, NH MA.

Hi Rick,
I am in Kingston NH, ~5-10 min from the mass border.

I have been using solidworks since ~ 1997. I used it where I used to work but now I own my own seat.

Do you have a sketch of the belt-guard you need?

Eric

Thanks Eric,
I'll make one and send it to you. A piece 12 or 13" x 24" will do it. It's 4 bends. holes too but I can cut those. These always seem to be missing from the old DB suburbans. I have a good original one to copy. I'll take it off and sketch it up. Hopefully later today. Weather really nasty here right now.

Hey Walter G, You out there? I know you need one too!

Eric

I was looking at the picture that shows your hood up (post 22). The flat stock a long the bottom is a little wavy looking, for lack of a better word. Is that just the picture or is it from the lower grill brace being in the way ?

Beautiful job Eric !

I am still trying to make it up there to visit you , but I slipped on some wet leaves getting the mail:banghead3 and have been off my feet since Saturday. I hope to be able to drive on friday I will call you thursday.

I managed to get (3) made today. I will test fit them tomorrow to make sure they will fit before I am ready to sell them. And prime them in the light so I can get a good coat on them.

Here are a few more pix to show the clearance for the motor and how the hinge works.

I am glad you like it.

Did you get the 75/25 gas?

I used the big welder today for the nose parts. I got it dialed in on the last weld on the last part!

I ordered a tig torch for it that is supposed to be here next week.

yeah i got 75/25. Getting it dialed in is a learning process... I welded on the back blade i made, and I had to make a lift rod for my snow blower- the lift rod is probably better than the original one :D It works better anyway :D

Here is tonights update,
I test fit all 3 parts I made today to make sure I could make more than just 1 of these things!:D

I am happier with the fit of these (3) than the first one I made as I made a couple adjustments to the parts to make them fit better.

Here are the pictures.
