Does anybody know if you can swap the 3 bag powerflow setup off of an X729 and put it on a x739?

Do I need to search for a parts diagram from a x739 and buy a new chute or the part that connects the powerflow to the deck?

Is it the same deck? Here is what the JD Guide has for Power Flow and MCS for the series. I will say that JD doesn't always keep their guide up to date though so a discussion with the local JD dealer may be in order:

Which size deck are you using the Power flow On Now? 48C, 54C or 60D or 62C That's what I should have asked On GTT That does make a difference and then there is a serial number Range On the mowing decks. The 60D and 60HC use the same Power flow head The 54C and 54HC use a different Power flow head

I have the 62c, lol you didn't list anything that's compatable with.

When I posted this identical question on GTT, I thought I was on mytractorforum, haha. I was like, why do I only have 1 post.

Ohh, so the powerflow head needs to be compatible? Not just a bracket to swap out?

The power flow head is the Only thing that changes (unless You currently had a 60D deck a 60D deck and a 60HC deck use the same power flow head); everything else that makes up the 3-bag power flow will fit On a newer X739.

The Only thing You Might need to change out is your current Power flow Head which is AM138661, which fits On a 62C deck. If You upgrade from the X729 with 62C to the X739 with a 60HC Deck. Then You need to Buy a new Power flow Head BM24515. You May or May not Have to Buy a new Lower chute from Bags to the power flow Head. But I don't think you need to Buy the Lower chute, just the $921.00 Power flow head that's if You upgrade from an X729 with a 62C deck to an X739 with a 60HC deck (y)

I think a complete powerflow system is $2500 new. So I'd be saving about $1500 if I swap it over.

Silly question, does a 62c from an X729 fit onto an x739?

You'll have to order an X739 without an auto-connect deck and then buy this Kit BM24370 (basically older mowing deck lift arms). Priced at $101.66, it is actually found under the 48C under the X700 signature series, But those are the same lift arms that were used for the 48C, 54C, 62C and 62D. Keep In Mind using the older deck Some of the Mulch features don't work either. But I am guessing since you bag, that doesn't really matter to you (y)

Also I don't really care about cut quality. The mowing will only be done for spring and fall cleanup.

I'm starting to reel mow my KBG this year.

Thanks for your help Sergeant!

I run a GX700PF on my x500 w54" , purchased it from an equipment dealer that said it was for an x5, obvious when i unpacked the crate it wasn't meant for x5, it had quick release bracket included! I told them it was wrong and I'd return it. they said if I would just pay the shipping charges i could keep it and they'd return my money! I added quick connect bracket to the back of x500 and it works great! $180 for a near new complete 3 bag pf , deal of a lifetime!
I had to purchase a different z bar and modify it to my liking, deck drive pulley and the quick release pin bracket [welded it to frame} but well worth the $$!
I think any of the units could be made to work on most machine with a little fab skills! one thing about fabbing your own setup is you can correct the things the original designers got wrong. I mounted the power flow 1" higher than stock [z bar mod] so it doesn't drag on the ground when cutting with the deck lowered all the way! keeps from wearing away the bottom of the PF. [which my neighbour has gone through 2 of them}

Powerflow for $180? Yes please.

I can do a little fabrication. I welded up a bracket to use a craftsman 19v drill as the chute rotator on my gx345. Wired it to the battery and it worked slick!
