Has anyone tried the new Carlisle Versa Turf rear tires? The look like they could be a nice mix of HDAP and AG's, all in one tire. My AG's on the back of my 425 are really beating up my soft lawn as I am mowing up all the leaves right now.
The guy I bought my X585 from bought an X749 to replace it. He immediately fell in love with the X749. He also figured out that by flipping the support bar for the 45 loader that goes through the tractor frame, it was an easy fix to allow him to move the 45 loader from the X749 from the X585.I love the AWS machines. If I could have found an X749 when I was searching, it would be in my garage right now. I nearly bought an X495 AWS because the AWS impressed me so much.
Sorry to get off topic. Hopefully I will have some (unmounted) Versa Turfs to show soon.
Was that guy in NC by chance? The guy I bought my X585 from bought an X749 to replace it. He immediately fell in love with the X749. Yes, I plan on filling the rear tires and adding weight front and rear. The V61's are supposed to be good for that problem. Do you still have it with them?
My rears arrived yesterday. Not sure where the fronts are yet. I figured that since they are made in China they come out of a different warehouse and hence the separate shipment.Well thankfully I don’t spend much time in mud here in the city. 😂
Half of my order arrived today. Man, these things are HEAVY!
UPDATE: According to Walmart, the fronts are on the way. I have not received any delivery alerts from FedEx or UPS so they must be in transit probably to the local FedEx distribution point. My rears arrived yesterday. Not sure where the fronts are yet. The tires fitting on the rim is not the problem. The question is will the tires when on the rims clear the deck and body of the tractor, especially at full lock and with different deck heights. You will need to just try it, or do some measurements before you hit the buy now button. So it looks like they should work on my X495 AWS
From the measurements that I took the other day, I should have clearance for them. I figure that they should clear by an inch plus for the deck. Definitely will not be able to run chains on them. Too close to the steering arms for my comfort. They would probably fit, but if one was a little loose, it would probably damage the steering arm and tie rod.The tires fitting on the rim is not the problem.
