King........ not that kind of Cat.

So are you saying my tractor is not yet worthy of one? Wait till the spring when I'm done with it!
That would be correct BUT when you are done next spring, the emblem is the last final touch and sense of pride.:thThumbsU
You seem like a reasonable guy ! There is no way you can think the PO had any pride in his care of the 318.
If you have been around the site there have been many great restorations of 318's and that 3-D emblem ( not the now new moulded into the grill ) just jumps right out.
"Search" them if you missed the great restoration threads.:fing32:

Can't wait for the pics :wwp::wwp:I think you will do a fine job !!!!!!!!:bannana::bananapow

Sure I will sell it. Make me a fair offer including shipping and I'll take it off and mail if to you.

Chris
With all the expert advice you are receiving on here on your 318, that little bracket should be removed and shipped to PA318Guy for free.:fing32:

Yes, your 318 use to have a Cozy Cab and a Blower mounted to it. it sure looks rough, but like others have said, you need to change out all fluids, filters, new plugs, air filter, grease all of the fittings, wash it, etc. Also, you could easily take off the metal parts, hood, deck, side covers, tower, etc, and give that to someone locally to blast them and repaint them, and this badboy will be ready to go for sure and look good also. I did notice you are missing the rear tail lights, and I would get some of those before you get a silly grille emblem.:trink39:

Correct! I had the same bracket. there was a yellow bracket on the chute handle. Otherwise it would wobble all over the place.
I did notice you are missing the rear tail lights, and I would get some of those before you get a silly grille emblem. ( Glockum won't put his on !! He's great any-who!!
I think I said it was the LAST finishing touch.
Yes a lot of the guys sent the parts out to be sand blasted and re-powder coated or painted.
Your 318 is going to be great. Like I said there isn't a guy here that would love to hear...
"By the way there is an old rusty 318 in the garage, hope you don't mind if I leave it there, It save me a trip to the dump "

So today was a very productive day. Mowed the lawn then pulled the 318 into the shop. Started by taking off the grill and side panels. Drained the oil and changed the spark plugs. Put in a new fuel filter and air filter. Put new oil in (new filter too).

While everything was apart took the vaccum to the engine compartment and pulled out another mice nest. Allready planning my renovation project for this fall/winter. I am going to preform a complete tear down and rebuild

The 318 really comes apart easily. I expected things to take a lot longer then they did.

Finished by removing the snowblower handle bracket for PA318guy (should ship out Monday).

Looking at the condition of the pan (numerous holes, bent part around the light) I'm considering buying a new one...any suggestions on where?

Thanks all
Chris
:thanku:

Need some pictures there so we can see for sure what the pan looks like! Ebay is a good place to start. If you were down my way I'd make you a good deal on a pan that isn't in too bad of shape! I figure that I'm probably going to use it when I take mine off the next time and repaint mine! Good to have a couple spare body panels lying around!

Using my tractor around the yard...today used it to help move some dirt and build a nice firepit. My wife bought me the 10P trailer for fathers day...she's a great girl!!!

On a side note I did the sea foam treatment yesterday. Lots and lots and lots of blue smoke. I must say the tractor is running more rough then before...hope I didn't foul anything...might just need to run for awhile before it settles down.

Here are some pics of my day today...
