Mud you could probably use a box and angle blade. Ideally crown the driveway and cut drainage furrows down both sides to let water runoff the sides rather than down the middle. Check craigslist. I found a 3pt angle blade in DFW for $150

John--If you weren't so far away--I have a 70/71 Wheelhorse GT14 (Cast iron Kohler) that has been sitting in my shop for 5 years. Need a battery and some put back together--but she has a hyd. lift and three point hitch. I need to get it back together and sell it--free up some working room.
Oh, well--another day/another project.

I need to get the sleeve hitch for my Cub so I can get some attachments and play with it. I used the Cub yesterday hauling water in my trailer for the concrete. Digging a ditch on both sides of my 3000 foot drive won't fly for me. My driveway is thru my pasture so not digging ditches thru it. My concrete idea has been working the best so far. Up at my gate is levelest place so that's where I have about 400 feet of gravel it's been there for about 7 yrs holding up great. I'll get some pics so you can see my driveway it's really no to bad no with my speed bumps installed reverting the water. It's those 5"s a day rains that mess things up.

That would be nice but I just bought this a couple weeks ago for my birthday so I'm a little broke right now. Maybe for XMas.

I wouldn't mess around with any sleeve hitch stuff if I had your JD. You can do so much more with it and 3pt implements. You'll be thrilled with a box blade behind that JD

Hey don't take all the fun out of using GARDEN Tractors!

The only box scrape I have is a sleeve Hitch Mounted Which I have used On My X485 & on my X748 with a 3point to sleeve Hitch adapter. But I also use it On My sleeve hitch Only tractors as well. I even used the Brinly sleeve Hitch Plow on My previous 1025R this spring for plowing the Garden. But next year I will plow the garden with the GSX His Utility would not be good for maintaining a Garden Plot (depending on size of Garden):thThumbsU

Oh now I have disc for my big JD and I disc my deer food plot and garden several times a year. I Barrow my neighbor's box blade if needed. Last time I used his box blade was in 2008. Took me 3 weeks to level this hill my house sets on. I used a survey transient to get the dirt just right for proper drainage.
Any ground contact work is far easier and faster and more comfortable in my JD while doing it than my Cub. I think my Cub would be just as fun doing it although take 10x longer and I'd be dirtier and hotter on my Cub. I'd still like to put my Cub to work I like the little Cub. For the expense of rigging my Cub up to do ground work I could buy an emplement for my JD. For that reason alone is why my Cub is still mostly for mowing.
One day I might put it to work, usually after Deer hunting season is over there are some small implements up for sale on Craigslist. So I'll keep my eye open for them. If I can find some cheap I may equip the Cub for some fun.

Ok ordered a new toy for my tractor not for my Cub but for my JD. It's called Pat's Easy Attachment hook up. It should be here today on the UPS truck. I'm excited no more hassle of hooking and unlocking my Shedder and disc plow up. I'll post a pic when I get it today. You can Google it. Cost on Black Friday sale was $187 for a Cat2 with shipping. Cat1 was $167 with shipping.

I received my Pat's quick attachment thing yesterday and installed them. They came painted grey so I painted them black after a test fit to my Brush Bull Sheddar. The hook up to my Brush Bull was quick and easy. I did make use of the supplies spacer washers in the kit and adjusted the spacer bolts for proper alignment while I had the Brush Bull hooked up. Then I removed the Sheddar and painted them black to match my JD sway arms. Seem to work fine for me and definitely made the hook up to my Brush Bull sheddar easy. It does lengthen the hook up about 4"s longer but my PTO shaft still worked fine and my top center arm still reached the top hook up point on the Sheddar, but it's about maxed out so I may buy a longer one of those later if it poses me an issue. The first use of the Sheddar will tell if my money was well spent or not and tell of its durability of the Pat's quick attachment. Merry Christmas to my JD now to find something for my Cub, I wished they made a nice seat cover for the Cub like Husqvarna has for theirs.
I forgot to get a pic of the setup while the Sheddar was hooked up sorry.

Looks beefy enough to do the job to me.
Are you gonna sleeve hitch the XT3?

I don't yet I need to justify sleeving it with an implement but can't think of one I need that I could put on my JD cheaper.

I know you wanted a 2" receiver hitch. I was looking at 1 I picked up cheap the other day thinking it would be easy to adapt to your XT3 rear hitch plate with bolts.
