Back in 2005 I bought my first ever lawn tractor, a Regent 18/38. During the first year, the Briggs Intek dropped a valve in the head and messed it up. But since then it's been great, even mowing up to 3 acres once and a while. (when the 9N wouldn't run)

This is my latest addition in Simplicity paint...she's a beauty, and came from a forum member. It's the last of the Sovereign's, mfg #1693409 (2000 18 Hydro, w/PS), repowered with an M20 (Triad victim). It is the first machine I've brought home, that had dried wax in the joints of the hood. =] The deck appears new, as does the seat (and everything else)

I like hydro's for moving my trailers...with the slope I have to the drive and lawn, it's nice to not monkey with a clutch. The Simplicity rear ball hitch works great, and is the right height for most jobs.

She happened to come with the 38" HD tiller...a dream package to me.

1973 Sovereign & 2004 Conquest

3416 with a 3 speed, electric lift, a 46" plow and a mighty mac on the back.
16HP Conquest with a turbo blower on a 44" deck and a triple bagger, with loaded tires and wheel weights.

I've also got a plow and chains for the Conquest for snow in the winter; this year I may see how the Sovereign does vs. the Conquest. A locking rear end vs. electric lift... hmmm.

This fall I may take leaves from the bags and run them through the mac just to see how reduced I can get them.

16HP cast iron Briggs single (26ft/lb @ 2700RPM)

16HP V-twin Vanguard Briggs (24ft/lb @ 3600RPM)
Two VERY different engines that supposedly make the same power, but have very different personalities.

...and after mowing the lawn before I felt the need to use the chipper.

I also have 2 legacys both gas one with a kohler and one with a kawasaki and a 918 agco allis, but mine don't have power steering. Wish it did with a 42" blower hanging off the front it needs it. After running the legacy with it I'm spoiled. May be letting the 918 go a little closer to blowing season.

My lawn tractor is a 1973 simplicity broadmoor 738. With 8hp briggs & Stratton L-head.

Attachments: 32" or 36" mower deck.
32" single stage snow blower.

HI, I have a Simplicity 3416H with a deck and a simplicity lawn vac run off the PTO. Works very well. I also have the original trailer that goes with the vac system.

Here's what I just bought and need your help...... I just purchased a 1982 (by briggs stratton engine code) 4211H in fairly good shape for my 8yo grandson. Came with 36" mower deck and 42" plow both in very good condition. I am removing the deck to make the tractor a rider only. The drive belt needs to be changed. I have a diagram and replaced pulleys B&C. New belt installed is not tracking properly. It is rubbing on something underneath. Also, diagram shows pulley D which is kinda in the center. I dont have this pulley and it looks like it never had it. So, not sure if I am looking at the correct owners manual. Either way, the belt and pulleys just dont seem to line up properly. Does anyone still have an early model 4211H that could take some pics of the underside so I can match up what I have? Many thanks for your help. Chris - Hyde Park, NY. You may want to start a new thread vs. resurrecting a two year old thread with a different topic. A lot of the guys here have experience with that model tractor but won't probably look in this thread to help you.

1988 6517, have a 48" mow deck.

1972 7113 has a 42" deck and front blade,

Question , I have a 6516H (1988)seems to be same as yours . Every mower belt I have gotten is too long , and I have all the adjustment out. So current plan is to buy a belt 1" shorter OR slightly wider. Has this happened to you?

This tractor mows better than anything I own when I can keep the blades spinning.
