Temp gauge on 425 is not moving

I have the 425 running pretty smooth and the only issue right now is the temp gauge. The gauge does not move at all. I have removed it from the sensor and grounded it and still nothing so I guess that means there is a break in the wire somewhere or the gauge is shot. If it is the gauge how hard are they to replace or is it even possible. I have a spare fuel gauge that I can remove off another 425 but I'm not sure if they are the same.

Mine is working,but not like it should Harold.I tried all the usual fixes and did the diagnostic as per the manual and it keeps leading back to "replace the instrument cluster"I took mine apart twice,cleaned and lubed the stepper motor on the gauge with no difference.I just have to decide to live with it or bite the bullet and replace the dash.

Finally got a chance to pull the dash out and free up the gauges they are both working now, I need to get some sealant to seal the glass up so it doesnt rust as much. Will see how long it lasts.
