...and I just had to have it!!!!
I have been wanting to get back on 2 wheels for a while. I used to ride dual sports in high school and college but never got another one after my DRZ was stolen. That was ten years ago!
I have had a few mini bikes since but been too busy buying tractors to think about bikes.
My neighbour, who I met last year, is really into motorcycles. Specifically Kawasaki's. He has bikes like I have tractors. Around every corner!
After I saw this '73 G4 100TR in his shed and he explained to me how it had a dual range transmission I knew it was the bike for me. He said farmers used to use these to check fence lines and even tow small trailers in the field. Remember this is even before the advent of 3 wheelers, let alone 4 wheelers.
Well it sounded like a 2 wheeled tractor to me, and not the "walk behind" type!
I'm really anxious to get it street legal again, but it might be a long road. For now I'm happy that it starts first kick and goes forward in all gears and stops with the brakes.
