I was installing my new powerflow blower/pulley/etc today and got to the point of installing the right rear baffle. I noticed the bolt hole closest to the discharge opening was not lining up properly. After a little more looking, it appears the shell of my mower deck is bent in that area. I don't think it's a huge issue, but it does appear to be creating a gap between the powerflow boot and the edge of the deck. I should be able to drill a hole in the baffle plate/deck to tighten that up. I'm thinking I can fab some kind of rubber flap/cover that will fill in the void space (the picture where I have my finger pointed).
Another item I noticed was the powerflow housing seems to sit lower than I remember on my 54c deck on a GX255. I don't have any pictures to justify that, but it seems like it. I don't think this will pose any problems either, by the time I'm running at a normal cutting height and have the leaf blowout kit installed. I don't see any way to adjust the height since the 'fingers' on the boot need to slide above/below the groove inside the deck. I have a set of high lift blades ready to roll too.
I guess I'm just looking for some feedback if anyone has seen this before? I can't imagine hitting something hard enough to bend the deck....
Does anything else look out of whack?
