Hi fredflinstone:MTF_wel: : , congrats on finding a red cub, I am going to be picking up my own red one next thursday, a 982.

They are very well built and robust tractors, you will be just like a kid with a new toy.:goodl:

yeah ,it has a 19.9 onan twin, comes with a 50" deck , 3point hitch and 48" tiller. Red cubs are few and far between in these parts. Does your 782 have a 17 hp kohler?:wwp: when you get it home .:thThumbsU

It was probably built with left over parts right after IH sold out to ccc. Either way that's a very good looking 782.

Thanks Fred. You made me get out my crying towel. Can I have your address? And can you leave that out in your front yard overnight? Thanks lol J/k You did real good. Take good care of that beautiful piece of iron.

thanks guys she seems pretty decent just a little front end work and change out the hytran and filter and she is ready to get to work and i think ag tires are in its future:thanku: oh and green1 just north of GR :sidelaugh

Thats a nice 782!!! if you look at the ID tag its the CUb Cadet Corp tag so its gotta be the left over pieces from when IH made them..either way a factory Red one is always Better than a repainted yellow one!!!! Ive got a 582, and a 482 that are IH built, and then if i remember right my 582 special is an IH built one and its red...Ive also got a 580 thats a mix half bread righ now(slow making it a puller)...then im buying a 680(i think is what it was) that the CCC one thats yellow....id like a 1282!!! guess ill convert my 482 into one!

The CCC's were built to the same spec's as the IH's until SN 720,000. I bought a 982 in November sn-713xxx with the CI rear end. Very nice looking 782!

Chevelle that's not quite true. They switched to a black cast iron rear end somewhere in there. The black cast rears have fine spline axles while the red cast rear have course spline axles. The black cast rears are a little bit stronger.

Nice machine. Reminds me of mowing at my grandparents when I was a teenager, they had a 782d. Enjoy
