For those who asked about the power, there is a large difference. The extra horsepower out of this Vanguard is night and day, and well worth it. I abused the tractor some more this week.

I know, I know. I'm going to get criticism for not having the proper tires, or tire chains, or weights. That's coming soon. This was just a test. I dug a trench to bury some garbage, which as last years bark from the 10 or more cords of wood we split, left a big pile of bark, so we buried it.

Weights aren't necessary, you'll see why! haha

Videos coming up shortly. I'm having a bit of an issue uploading to Youtube.

Here's the first video. I got another one uploading.

The camera doesn't add 10 lbs, it adds 150.

EDIT: Oh yea! I cuss at the end of the video, because I was getting frustrated at hooking a root or something and breaking traction. Forgot to edit that out. haha!

I was digging a trench to bury a pile of bark from last year's firewood. Works good. Could use some traction tires though. That's coming soon.

That 318 has the power!! Great video you were really pushing some dirt.

Your vanguard is bigger than mine but I also can feel a huge power increase...with the old engine I had to open the throttle all the way under load but with the Vanguard I can do just about everything at half throttle.

Thanks for the vids they were very cool.

Pushing all that dirt and still enough power to run the headlights too!:ROF

Great video, that didn't sound like it was throttle up very much and there was no lack of power! Nice to see a job finished with a good result :congrats: !

I was doing the same thing. I was either at half throttle or less than half. I did a **** of a lot of dirt work with the tractor today, and I'm amazed by the horsepower increase. Once I get a set of ag tires and wheel weights, I'm sure she'll really push then!
