Very nice work.. WHat a sweet little engine.

Now that's a nice swap.Almost looks factory.
Why the steel seat and craftman rear fender?

hi all, thanks for the replies. the rearend is outa of a old ford lg 14 hydro. has far has the craftsman fenders, i needed a rear postion fuel tank to have enuff room under the hood for radiator and battery and airfliter, so i put the sears tank on, and fenders were already made to fit the tank so i figured it was just easier to use the fenders. the steal seat is just a personal preference for me[touch of ol school i guess] i plumed into the rearend for live hydrolics to run the front cylinder and another out the back to run the sleeve hitch, my tiller, and dump trailer.

thanks all for the kind words, i really like the diesel power but i have noticed that i cant use all of its power for pulling. the hydro rearend has a hi low and when im pullen some thing hard the rear just stops. the motor doesnt bog down but the rearend just wont take it. I think i made a mistake, i shulda left the stock gear shift rear in it and put a hydo pump on to run my cylinders. I mean it works fine for most jobs but like moldboard plowen it just stops sometimes when plow goes deep. what do you guys think? rip it apart? or leave it?

'ripping it apart' is hard emotionally but it is such a nice piece of work and has such potential to be serving you for decades that maybe (when time permits) a reconfigure could be worth it. Hate to see you not 100% satisfied.

maybe there is a problem with the hydro? can it be modified somehow like increasing its pressure or something else along those lines. swap it to another model hydro maybe

I would think the hydro is not up to par. It would easily pull a plow stock. You may be putting more torque to it but it shopuld still perform the same to the point where you are overworking it correct? I hope so, I am in the process of putting one of these on my MTD 990 hydrostat!!
