Tire sizes on ST12

I want to get some bigger and wider tires on my 73 st12 and was wondering what size you al could get to fit. The tires now are 22x7.50x12. I saw a st16 on ebay w/laoder that has tires that look to almost scrape the fenders. I am wanting somthing like ag or bobcat tire for added traction for the loader that I am going to build.

I would recomend using a regular lug tire since the trac loader tires are such a heavy ply they wont flex and give you the traction you would expect. Stonykill encountered that situation.

26 x 12 x 12 will fit. You just need to stay with rims that have a 3 inch back space. Most Cub Cadets are 3 inch bacK space.

Like what kind and size do you recommend?

I didn't see your last post.

The biggest you want to put on your rims would be a 10.50 tires and that's pushing it, but craftsman does it. Your rims are 7 inch wide.

Most guys just go with duals, with a loader on these tractors.

maby duals would be the best bet. They would give me better stability. And staying with stock dia tires wouldnt mess up gearing. Thanks. So now I will be looking for a second set if anyone has any let me know.
