One of the ebay vendors has all three 23x10.50-12 lug tires lined up for you to see. Very notable differences in size (even unmounted).

As he says, he just sells them, doesn't make them. It's all in how you measure. Remember the 15 inch computer monitors, with 12.5 inch viewable in small print??
He also says none of the 3 brands measure 10.50 or 23 high. Carlisle True Power being the biggest, but still not 10.50 or 23.

It like a 2 x 4, they don't measure 2 inchs by 4. Nothing is what it use to be. Just like you say about the monitors.

Deestone does cheat the most in size, or any other china copy.

My Carlisle Tru Power 26 x 12 x 12 are just over 11" from edge to edge of the lugs... I can measure the side wall width, if that matters... The way I fiquired it. This will be the last set I ever buy for this tractor. And of course they are MADE IN THE USA... I paid $190 shipped for the pair... Excellent price for what I was quoted at various sites... I have a pair of matching Carlisle Tru Power 18 x 8.5 x 10 coming for the front. Coming from Greg also... The stock size tire was 20 x 8 x 10. That size is no where to be found in AG style tires, anywhere. This was the next size down in height. I will post pictures when I get them mounted this weekend...

Just for comparison, those are Carlisle Super Lugs, 23 x 10.5 - 12, (2 Ply). A bit different than the Carlisle Tru Power 26 x 12 x 12 - (4ply)...

Not to be too much of a flag waver, but part of the Carlisle price is that they are made in the USA (at least the $400 worth I just bought from M.E. Miller). We like to get paid over here.

Not saying I never buy anything made in China, but I do try to avoid it as much as possible.

Buy USA the job you save may be your own.
If it was the same price, I would buy american, but I am barely willing to pay the lower price, maybe if they nocked off them union fees and wages, I could afford to buy their tires.

You want American but not Union made? That's going to be hard to do in the
American Ag and Auto industry.

exactly, thats why all I can afford is the non american made. Maybe if I were paid union wages I could afford it, but then no one could afford to buy our product.

Lets not forget the topic.... Ag tires / cheapest youve found

Nothing about the best or where they are made, just the cheapest youve found.

Not everyone can or will pay more than they have to for a tire going on a old tractor. The tire might not be the best, but neither is my tractor. :ROF

So how much is too much? How much in your opinion is a "union wage", a
dollar amount per hour? There are those of us that went to Tech school,
worked through an apprenticeship, kept up with technology, make a decent
living wage and are union members. I'm quite proud of the fact that I am a
member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. I
don't feel I'm over paid but I'm sure there are those that might think so. I just
ordered a union built mower and I felt good about it. I'd like to make CEO
wages for a couple months and retire but I'm not going to weigh that against
my decisions on whether to buy a certain product or not. I'll pay a few dollars
more to get quality.

AMEN BROTHER!

If I owned a Deere or a Cub etc. I would spend the extra. But these old sears aren't worth it to me. If I ever sold the thing it would be hard to get the money back, on all 4 tires.

Cheap tractor, cheap tires, good tractor, good tires.

It's going to be hard plowing the garden with a bag over my head but I'll get er done.......:biglaugh:

I did buy Firestones for the GMC truck I own, Good truck, Good tires...:trink39:

Carlos are those 26x12x12 23degree stones?
Was looking around the M.E. Miller tire site last night for a set & don't see them listed any longer?

That's what they are. Got these though my local tire dealer. Walker Tire, Clinton , IL. Don't know where he gets them from. I didn't want to have to mount them myself, so I bought locally.
