I liked the AMSOIL too but I guess I've chickened out and continue with my good ole Valvoline.:hide:
Yeah, from that other thread, you ought to hide under a chair...some folks have a very strong opinion on those oils.:biglaugh:

Myself I've used Valvoline in the new 4.7 I put in my Grand Cherokee with zero troubles...that and the occasional bottle of Lucas additive. Good stuff.

As discussed in that other thread now, I do know that motor oil and 2 stroke oils are different...just making a reference to the brand name. Love it.

I've got some Lucas 2 stroke oil in my stash to try.

I was thinking about that too. Our shop manager used to have his own garage working on diesels and I can remember delivering engines to him. He had a Cavalier (if I remember correctly) or something small that was made into some kind of pro street 3' wide tires on the back thing. Normally you don't time cars like that this way but he said his 0-60 time on it was like .98xx of a second.

Anyway I guess he knows the Lucas guys personally and he swears by it. He's in his 60s and been rebuilding engines since he was a kid. I used the oil treatment in my Grand Cherokee since the engine was new and haven't had any issues as of yet. I'd like to hear your opinion once you run a tank or two through a Lawnboy.

I think the point is, there are probably 50 threads on lawnboy oil specifically, not including the ones where oil's discussed off topic like on this thread; its just much "cleaner" for the forum, IMO, to bump existing threads and continue discussions but allot of folks might not know how to use the SEARCH tool, or are too lazy to do it.

Just my two cents. and like other threads like this one, I hope they die out LOL

Good point. Sorry.

Weasel, I like your posts and your enthusiasm for Lawn-boys. I want to ask you in a friendly and constructive manner. Would you please try to spell words correctly. The computer generally highlights words that are spelled wrong. Going back over your posts before you submit them would help. They would be easier to read and would look better in general. We all get words wrong from time to time so please take no offense here.
