This became mine recently. Another from the mower junk yard at the mower shop, although I have yet to get the details about how and why this gem was abandoned there. It's a 1986 snapper 21R00PC and it runs great. I'm not sure how much heavy use this actually had because it's really not too beat up. The deck is a little dull but no rust. This completes my trio of WRs and, in a way, completes me! This was at the top of my list to find and I still can't believe it's here. Haven't mowed with it yet but I will this weekend.

That particular piece has been on my "A" list for years now. That engine is IMO, the creme of the crop four cycle engine....better than any Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, LB etc.

The only issue with these is they are lead sleds....It will leave deep tire tracks in the grass.

Enjoy it, and put that mill in your will......

I'm thankful the guys at the mower shop appreciate my interest in these old things. They're good guys. The shop's owner opened it in 1963 and his son is basically in charge now. And his son and his nephew work there too, pretty neat.

Indeed Indy. Tank really does describe it best.

Looks beautiful! I'm very jealous...:trink40:

Man, SnapperTreak, that is the epitome of the Snapper pyramid. Although I love my Kawis (150v and 180v) and my Suzukis and DuraForce, there is something about the 185v WR that makes it my favorite engine. It is so strong and tough, and the sound of sheer power is delightful. What a great score - you must be one happy camper. Congrats, my fellow Snapper and WR fanatic! ?

Thanks guys, I do love how it looks AND sounds. In fact I go back and forth on which one's noise I like better, the 125 or the 185. Both very tough in their own way. Just need to change the oil and put an NGK plug in it.

Here's the trifecta.

...don't mind the dead grass.

I can't believe what good condition that 185 v is. The engine is the cleanest I have seen in one for sale, the deck look great, and the wheels in great shape. That is quite a family portrait - one of each of the three best Snappers!

Yeah, it will be sent first week of March, hopefully. It is a really clean one owner Hi Vac Commercial with the WR 185? It is a self-propel, my other is a pusher. Hope to add a 2 cycle WR - Extra Tough would be nice. How do you like the 145V WR? Never experienced one.

I wouldn't waste my time with the 145. It is in reality about 3.5hp. Good, reliable engine but underpowered for most needs. The 125V blows it away and I'm sure the 185 is even more than that. Haven't used my 185 yet but I hope to some day.

I must agree with lawnboy dan and Ranger302j. They are pretty rare around here. The only other one I can recall coming accross was a pretty beat up one a couple years for I think $40 with a bad coil. As for its performance, I would say it's more powerful than my briggs 3.5hp but not by much. It sounds good when u start it up but yes it's not as powerful as u might expect. It wasn't what I had expected. The 125 and the 185 certainly both out-power it. But I still use it from time to time, I do still like it.

And that's awesome about your 185 snapper! Might I ask, from how far away is it shipping from and was the shipping cost reasonable? Can't wait to see all of those pics!

They are in the process of boxing it. Coming from Michigan to Washington D.C. Suburbs of Northern Virginia. I don't know shipping yet, but guess it will be about 100 bucks. Can't wait!
Will post when it arrives.

Even though it's not as powerful as the 125 or 185 I enjoy using it just as much. My grass isn't too thick or crazy tall to be too much for it. I can't really knock it for being less powerful than it's siblings, but for serious grass is go for either of the other two. My bottom line: I like it just like the others and even though it's horse power is 3rd in line in the WR family it's still powerful enough for most lawns. I like it a lot.

WHOA $350?? Unless it's in brand new almost unused condition that's a bit high. Is there any flex on the price? I do hope u pick it up, just for slightly less money.
