I was wondering if the price of Crartsman tractors has gone up the same all over the country. I was in Sears yesterday and the 4500 20 HP was on sale for $1699. It was a Hydro automatic. The first part of the year they were on sale for $1379. I have the same tractor in a stick shift. They were $1249. when I got mine. I did get a return and paid half price.

My back is out and my need surgery on my inner ear which will be next week. I say that because it is a time to reflect. I am greatfull for the little tractor. I still am mowing the lawn and picking up leaves. It was 85 degrees 2 days ago and wet and colder today. I have a small yard but I can get the yard work done with the tractor. We are so luck here in this country. We have so much to be thankfull for. Give someone a helping had this Christmas season. The joy of helping others will be uplifting.

Merry Christmas you and yours.

Best of luck with your back and pending ear operation. That was great advice about being thankful and helping others. When you help others and do it for the right reasons and have the proper attitude when you do it... I can almost guarantee that 99.9% of the time you will come away blessed way more than the person(s) that you helped. It's a like a breath of fresh air and a real lift in your spirit. It is true that some folks don't appreciate what is done and that sure puts a damper on it; but you have to look past that and realize why you are helping in the first place. It's all about attitude. :fing32:

Yes. Prices are going up all over the place on all goods and services. Lots of prices going up after the first of the year. Makes me appreciate what I have all the more actually.

The price of food has gone way up thanks to the burning of our food. I have a farm and grow corn and soy beans. I lease it out. It makes me a lot of money but I could do with less to bring food prices down. It is a world crunch. One of the most stupid things man has done is use corn for fule.
I am greatfull that I can afford what I want. I feel sorry for those on a tight budget. I have a widow neighbor that is a wonderful person. She has a nice house with a pool but on her income she can not pay for repairs. I fix everything for her. We have been neighbors for 27 years. Our street is like one big family. Everyone helps everone else. I even baby sit the kids. I tutor them and help with their home work. It makes me feel great to be able to help. There are so many people out there doing good things for others. It is wonderful to know there are people who give of themselves. I have received help and know how much it has ment to me.

It just seemed that sears tractors took a huge jump compaired to everone else. Thy may have been under priced. I know that Sears is not giving holiday discounts that are as big this year. None of the stores here in So CA are discounting big time. They loose so much on some items I guess they desided to make what they can. People are going to buy Christmas items any way.

May Santa be good to you and yours. Take someone alone this year and have them over. It is hard to be alone at any time let alone the holiday season.

What type of ear surgery? I had inner ear surgery back in '94 for my Meniere's, it helped with the dizziness but not the ringing.

I have a syst right in my left ear canal. It will not let the ear drain and gets infected all the time. Dizzy, los of hearing, ear pain and it bothers my eye. I have a narow place in the nose that they are going to do surgery. That is nothing compaired to my bad back. That needs surgery in the upper back but the past 2 days my lower back is out and I can not sit or lay down. When it rains it pours. Got to keep a stiff upper lip. LOL I had tubes in my ears a few years ago. That did not help at all. Sorry about the ringing of the ears. I have that now and then. Drives me nuts. Best of health to all. Other than everthing that is wrong with me I am just fine thank you. LOL
