This will be totally new to me. I dont know what I have, so I need help IDing it. I intend to totally restore this little tractor, after seeing all the cubs on this forum , I have been looking seriously for a fixer. I think I will have to go thrue the koler engine. that will be a new adventure also.
Once I know what I have then I guess the next step is to find manuals.
So , Im asking for help , I take all post and ideas very serious. Thanks in advance.
This is gonna be a blast , I am thrilled . Oh BTW I got it for $50.00:bannana:

Looks like it might be either a 70 or 100. Are there any decals/labels on the engine? Also, look for the serial number.

The Cub is a Model 70. They were built between 1963 to 1965. It has a 7HP Kohler (K-161) in it. It's bigger brother was the model 100.

I had no idea it is that old. I was hopeing for atleast 1970`s , 63 to 65 is great.
on the engine , in the side casting there is a(7-10 K ) there is a metal tag on the engine also. I will look at it tomorrow , its raining cats and dogs right now.
Where should I look for a serial # on the tractor? I couldnt find a tag on it.
I have loaded the kohler specs already, Thanks
I will order the manuals after while. also do any of you have a decal source?
I WILL save pics thrue the rebuild procss.

The vin # is 92780 , I think thats like RBedel said, 1963 to 65

With that Serial Number, indicates it was made in Aug 1964.

You did good DR, if the seat is not cracked, it's worth twice that alone. Mine is from Oct. 1964

Well being your a body man, I can see it Late model Ford Chrome yellow, and white pearl. Maybe some goast flames on the white pearl. :bananapow :fing32:
