Picked this one up at a nearby junkyard. The best part about it was that it was free.
Uhhh...Doug, I would refer you to page one. :hide:uhf1483 said:Ive yet to find anyone with nos blue pull handles, including all of those vintage nos parts lots on ebay. If you're lucky enough to find a lawnboy that used a blue pull handel, 99% of the time its cracked and needs replacement. What I've done is spray paint the new white ones rustoleum royal blue. Its a very close good match. Thats worst case situation though.

To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

I'm 40. As a kid in the 1970s, I admired Lawn-Boys. Our neighborhood was full of them---they were the best mowers on the market at that time.Shawnlb said:How old is every one here . I will be honest im 30 going to be 31 this July. The head tech at Volkswagen always says im a relic of the wrong era cause im into old Lawn boys, tube radios and communications recevers of old anything with tubes in it. Vintage Volkswagens and Vintage snowmobiles. Most people think im atleast in my 40's.
Turned 50 in November last year. Used Lawn-Boys in the 70's and 80's. Caught the bug a couple of years ago. Neighbor was moving having a garage sale. Was selling an 89 model S21BSN and I had to have it. Been hooked since. :biglaugh:tarheelman said:I'm 40. As a kid in the 1970s, I admired Lawn-Boys. Hey Lawnboy Dan, Good to see there are other "Mature" individuals on the site. Now before that offends anyone less than 50, understand that is just a nice way of saying other "OLD" folks. :biglaugh:lawnboy dan said:i am 51 and been in the lawn biz since i was 19. i used lawn boys when i had my first biz in nantucket mass. i moved to fla and found i needed self propel due to the thicker grass and heat! it wasnt till the toro takeover that lawnboys adopted a self prop sys that would stand up to comm use . this is why i only have newer lawnboys. for me the toro take over was a good thing-till the demise of the dura-force that is!
OK, now I feel really, really old. :hide:lawnboy dan said:i am 51 and been in the lawn biz since i was 19. i used lawn boys when i had my first biz in nantucket mass. i moved to fla and found i needed self propel due to the thicker grass and heat! it wasnt till the toro takeover that lawnboys adopted a self prop sys that would stand up to comm use . this is why i only have newer lawnboys. for me the toro take over was a good thing-till the demise of the dura-force that is!

I'm 62 and I know there are people older than me on the site.
I've only been addicted to Lawn-Boys since last summer.
Although I have owned a couple since 1980. :fing32:
