Seems like spring is coming a little early this yr. Know you guys in the NE are having it hard right now and not trying to rub it in. Spring is on the way guys.
We've been having a bit of warmer than normal the past week or two and it is showing in the form of flowers nearing the bloom stage or are blooming right now.
Took a walk around mom's neighborhood this AM and saw my first daffodils in bloom and numerous others getting ready to open their blossoms (almost a month early). Also saw crocus and primroses in bloom (normal for this time). The biggest surprise was a camelia in bloom.
At home was have Snow Bells in bloom which is normal for Feb. Have a Azalea almost ready to pop open but this is a very early plant and have seen it in bloom on New Years. Daffodils are on the verge of opening up. Also have crocus and prim roses blooming. Lots of new growth on the rose bushes. There are a few plants that seem to be blooming yr around.
I'm getting cabin fever wanting to get out in the garden but it is just too wet. Would sink in just walking on it.
All in all, not too bad for being just N of the 45 parallel.
Any spring flowers in your area?
