I just wanted to warn all of you in the midwest about the impending white death coming early this week. They(weatherman) say we could get up to 12" :hide: . I wanted to make sure that you are prepared. Forget the bread, milk, eggs and cheese. Who needs food staples :ROF . I want to make sure you have what you need!!!!! Alright, now you need fuel(gas or diesel your choice) oil, warm cloths, gloves, boots, and for some underwear :sidelaugh . You'll need these as a bare minimun. Also please fill tanks on your tractors, blowers, ect. Make sure all your zerk's are well lubed, air in tires, chains on. I know I'm forgetting somethings, so if anybody else has something else please let us all know.

Just one last question. How can weathermen keep their jobs and make 6 figure salaries when their wrong 99% of the time :ROF Thinking I picked wrong job in life :fing20: :sidelaugh .

OH NO........NOT THE GREAT WHITE DEATH :eek:mg: :eek:mg:

:biglaugh:

I agree about the weather guessers! 'partly cloudy VS partly sunny'...What is the difference?? :fing20:

Just BS for 'I don't know what it's going to be like'

They should just tell the truth and say 'We have a 100% chance of weather. Other than that, who knows' :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Weathermen are like lawyers and doctors, they get to practice!!

They are saying CT may get a significant snowfall wednesday. If it does it will be the first since last winter. I want some seat time, they better be right this time!!

I'm in SW Ohio too, I had great fun with that 'dusting' we had a few days ago. I'm wondering how well the little tube frame Bolens is going to do with the foot we are 'supposed' to get.
One thing you forgot to mention Canon, make sure you are stocked up on your favorite adult beverage.

:duh: :00000061: :bonk: Your right boatfixer!! I forgot the surgeon general's food chart. 6-8 servings of grains a day. Malt, hops, barley they count don't they. :trink40: :trink40: :trink40:

I' over in Okeana if you know where that is.

Yes the grains are very important, I just got back from the store with my supply of them. Everyone else in the store had silly things like milk, eggs and bread in thier carts. The only thing I had was liquid refreshment that contained grains and hops.
I've probably been through Okeana but don't remember where it is.

"....pray the Lord my soul to take. God bless Mommy, Daddy, Little Ichabod, Moochie and Grandma... And PLEASE, a honkin' big blizzard with whiteout conditions and a total accumulation of 16" for Little Hydro? Amen!"

"HYDRO! Are you praying again? Get back in bed and go to sleep!"
"Yes Dear!"

And what about lower Michigan? Going to slide right by us to the south. Go figure! Well I don't have to worry about fuel and such. :Disgus:
The weather guessers were saying (as of tonight) that they aren't sure if we are going to get snow, ice, or both...-IT ALL DEPENDS-... :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

I topped off the tractors, made sure the generator's tank was full, and went to the station to fill the gas cans.

Hopefully 'the Wildman' is ready :trink40:

Glad you reminded me of the generator Wild Bill, I haven't used that thing since last summer when my house wiring melted down.
Guess I better fuel it up tommorow before all this stuff gets here so I have some way of keeping my recently acquired grain containing beverages cold.
I think I have a couple cans of corn or something in the cupboard so should be okay in the food department.

Wow, hope that kind of stuff doesn't come here, don't think the GT with snow blade will be able to do anything with that.
May have to find a blade for the old '65 Ford dump truck if we get that kind of snow.

AMAZING!

Almost more snow there than the snow base at timberline lodge, oregon right now.

I am surprised more people have not died in this event and also that some of the roofs (home and carport, etc) in those photos have not caved. I dont know that I would walk around under some of them. Snow is heavy.
