MTD 990 and other varients?

dont have a deck but have my eyes open looking for anythig that i might not need lol about the three point hitch i have nothing would need to find all of it going to try to make one that will work till i find the real thing let me know

i have a mtd 990 and can't get it to pull either direction, i have changed the charge pump, drained sysyem, still no go!! any one out there that works on these?? it's to the point of getting it fixed or selling!!

do you work on the 990??? i live in benton and would haul it to you. i have a tiller and 50" deck with the big blade

I am just north of Mt. Vernon and am rebuilding my 990.

I dont think I would be much help in fixing yours but would be glad to try and help.

Does the tractor roll with the range select in neutral? Are the brakes locked? (actually the brake pedal can be partially depressed (and you may have no brake pads, i.e. no brakes) and that will keep the tractor from moving.

If you sold the whole thing, how much would you want? I'd interested in a deck and tiller, and some tractor parts.

would appreciate it, i figured out one problem, but still have a lot of air i can't get out of the system, want to buy this one? great shape, just used it with the tiller, deck is really nice, and the big blade pushes anything!!

I just bought a 1975 MTD 990 Farm King 16 hp and im having problems with the hydraulics for the 3 point hitch like it almost seems that it dont have any power to it i put my hand on it and it dont even lift my own weight i dont know whats wrong could anyone help me out?

White made some newer models with the same options GT1655, GT1855, GT2055, Mine is an agway.
