I love the first gen 448, that hood scoop is just something else. A fellow around here modified a 448 turning it into an almost new machine, calling it a 449. I want two of those, painted in a nice sunset theme.

Excuse the mess in the garage, I just moved in and the first thing the tractor did was **** all over the floor. So there are boxes everywhere, oil, and a carpet is being used as a mat!

I tore the 444 down to fix a hydraulic leak, and pulled a service on it while it was apart. I didn't take any new pictures until I put it back together. I'll find out tomorrow if I actually fixed it!

Aww, she was just marking her territory...LOL.

Looks like a nice machine!!!:thThumbsU

How do u like that 60 inch deck? are u able to cut taller grass with it?
Yes, I can mow tall grass pretty good with the 60". I live in the country so I get to test that about everytime I mow. I don't mow as much as everyone else. About every other week. Plus the opening of the deck was modified for a wider open. Not real safe, but you are if your on the machine!

The best part about the 60 inch is two passes and it looks like a path wide enough for a vehicle to pass though!!

The bad thing with the 60", I can't seem to fit into smaller areas like between tree's. Another bad point, don't think you can pass over a short stump. I learned the hard way. It broke one of the deck drive belts. I was glad Brian sold be a belt for $40 instead of $80!!

I used two own a fix and repair daily 46" yard machine. My mowing time went from 3 hours to 1.5 when I got the 448!

I've looked around a bunch but have never seen this year, model and options anywhere else. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places?

It might not be my case.... But its what is going to be in my case very soon.

George, George, George that is one sweet original machine you have there.

This is a 1969 220 PK (Performance King) with optional hydraulic lift, it appears to be all original less the seat. :thThumbsU

Oh, yes. It's all original less the seat and some electrical parts. I am also thinking that it's the only one of its kind that still exists. Someone prove me wrong!
