Time for a cover/carport porch roof. Got started by setting 4 posts sunday. Darn rock bar still dosen't fit my hands. Went to work this morning and the boss told me to get any of steel I wanted before scrap run. Ended up with 5- 24ft 8" C chanal 1/8", 3- 4 1/2" 30ft C chanal 1/8" and some odds and ends. Pic's comming to thread soon. :bannana:

Had an hour before rain started this evening. I was able to raise 1 beam and run first bead on each pole. I'm glad I left the poles tall, as that's a good place to hang chain hoist. Here's first pic,s.

Joe, no plans, tape measure, level, square and welder (not me the machine). This C/U chanal is twice as thick as c-perulins, which means better welding with stick. Looks like the only steel I'll have to buy is roof skin.

Ken, it's alright as I work at my pace and I ***** less as I won't lissen to myself. Besides sat. morning I'm picking up that 1/2 A-C at Mark777's and then meeting up with a group from TractorByNet in Giddings before heading home.

Ken, that's only 20 miles away, I can pick-up if someone needs them.
Finely got back to cover yesterday during the outage, welded up the C-chanal and got most of it painted. Here's a pic as of 6:50pm.

I added a walkramp in front of van and moved smoker to where when the skin is on I can check the meat when it's raining. I'll buy the skin when I find a better price than $46 for an eightteen footer.
