Looks like a GM roots style orig from a 6-71 Detroit Diesel. It is even mounted on its side like it would have been on an ole Detroit inline. Bearing plates and drives are gonna be different but you can see it mounted on the 6-71 Detroit on the middle of the block. Thats how they got the names for the blowers as well like 4-71, 6-71, 8-71, etc. Also, make sure that the rotors spin the right direction if you are doing a custom fabrication.

thank you F250
we can make out the GMC blower now
underneath all the aftermarket pieces
the bottom of supercharger is facing us
thats an aftermarket timing cover piece that comes out to
support the supercharger
supercharger looks higher than crank nose
so you could probably change gear ratios
that 'intake manifold' looks a little boxy
but may work pretty good
the round thing closest to us is
probably popoff valve

It is the blow off. If the blower was mounted on an intake the intake would have a pop off plate. I have seen them mounted like that before but from what I understand they were not reliable like that due to overdrive/underdrive for the blower spin speed and if the thrust bearing goes out on the engine it could walk the crank forward into the adapter for the blower drive and possibly take out the blower. If it were me I would mount it on an intake like most guys do. It will be way more efficient to operate. If you want to mount out front I would go with a centrifugal style. The blower out front trick was mainly for rail cars for lower profile. Custom fab work is still way cool in my book so I hope it works for you and can't wait for pics.

notice the hoses with 4 hose clamps?
the joint is probably between each pair
looks suspiciously like big truck
straight radiator hose
think dealing with about the same PSI

They are prob custom stainless tubes with the same hose connections you would use for a turbo application. The ends now are made from silicone instead of rubber to resist heat and cracking. Not sure on PSI. Don't know what the blower is running in relation to the crank speed.
