Not for sure but my guess is the seller did not want to sell it for the price that was bid on it. On the other hand, maybe the buyer did not pay for the item. Sometimes eBay can be a very difficult place to buy and sell stuff.

I emailed him 6 different times and called twice about coming to pick it up and he never called me back or emailed me about it now it says i need to pay for it but he has already relisted it and sold it

Did he sell it for more money than the amount you agreed to pay? Did you pay for it as required? He might have sold it to someone else because he did not receive payment.

he emailed me after the sale and asked if i wanted to pay via paypal or in person and i said in person and i never heard from him again. I think i will mark it paid and he can eat the ebay charges
