Why wouldn't they list the price WITH the loader and backhoe? JD is screwy sometimes.
They would potentially turn off many people who would consider buying one. My guess is only a small percentage of people will be buying them with a loader and backhoe. Seems to be much more customer friendly/smart marketing to give the customer the choice of what implements they can get with their tractor. :trink39:

Thanx, TurtleBoy!!! I'll hit that configgerer tonight. I got to reading all the "read mores" last night until I was bleary eyed!:D Interesting looking machine for filling the gap for those of us with only 1/3 acre and some digging to do.:)

Looks like we can add another feature to the list:

On-the-Fly 4WD Engagement:

4WD can be engaged on the go. This is possible because of a collar shift engagement rather than the conventional sliding gear engagement. Competitive tractors cannot engage 4WD on the go because they use a sliding gear engagement.

A lot of new info coming up on the JD website now:

JD 1-Series
What is interesting is that they had an online brochure link there for a few days and then yesterday they took it done. Not sure why they would do that.

Re: PRICING

I just configured the 1026R with H120 FEL, 260 BH., and 54" Drive-Over Deck =$23,018.00 msrp

Even with all those goodies, that will be a tough sell when a Kubota BX25 can be had for $16-17K similarly equipped. Hopefully there will be some serious discounting off msrp.

Congratulations!

Re: PRICING

I was wondering about that the other day. Hopefully there will be the "normal" 10-14% discounting but then again, if they are selling then maybe not. The prices from dealers that came out awhile ago showed about a 10% discount but who knows how things will be now. The coupon from the RFDTV show was for $300 off when buying two implements. The deals for the 2305 and 2520 were $1,000 and $2,000 off.

One guy I know who ordered a 1026R unseen got about 10% off. Hopefully soon we will hear soon from folks who have placed an order.

edit - changed amount from 350 to 300

I took it to mean the 1026R's pricing was out of line, not your statement. :fing32:

:D Oops. I hope you're right because I have more to say on that! :D

If they could get the discounts down to within $1-2K of the BX25, then the premium features offered on the 1026R would be an easier sell.

Truthfully, a more fair comparison would be the price on the 1023E vs. BX25. But I don't have time to run that configuration -- the configurator is so clunky and slow.

I noticed a lot of neat options in the configurator, especially hydraulic goodies like power beyond, independent deck lift , and various rear remote options. They really seem to have put a lot of thought into those - some neat packages there.

I did not see the FEL-mounted snowblower listed anywhere. Looks like the standard 47" and 54" options.

P.S. Cat, thanks for the clarification! :)

That probably would be a better comparison. The 1023E would be $1,299 less. I'm thinking the D120 might be a comparable loader also, that would be $648 less. That is a total of $1,947 less so the grand total would be $21,071. The 10% discounted price would be $18,964 which could be in the "premium features" price.

I think the power beyond is required with the backhoe so that would be an extra $150 or so.

I had a feeling the loader mounted snowblower was just a concept.

When I was shopping the sales guy at my JD dealer flat out told me he would not be discounting the new 1 series, and guessing at the numbers which weren't that far off from actual I just could not justify the extra $4k or so, $2k yes, not $4k, so I bought the bx25. The little orange machine has been pretty good, but I would have stayed green if'n He had been willing to deal with me, the 2520 tlb price he gave was over $25k...crazy.

Shack, you have a great tractor. I saw in the online brochure where JD is really going after Kubota so would not be surprised next year if you see tilt wheel and other perks offered by Kubota.:)

great, because I Really wanted to get into a "trade up for more features cycle"!:hide:
at some point I'm sure I'll want a bigger tractor, but it'll probably be a 110 tlb, that I think would be the ultimate combo, the little bx and a 110 could do any job I would even consider.

Well then...you'd better hurry...because rumors have been swirling around that the 110TLB is going to be dropped from their product line...:(

Schack, you should probably look at some of the larger Kubota TLBs also. Even that B26 is a very impressive machine -- more serious hydraulics and increased lift capacity over the regular B series.

you guys are just trying to get me in trouble now...I am done buying for this year!:lalala:
