A few years ago I installed a spring loaded striping roller kit to the back of my walk behind mower. It worked...but with an asterisk. Striping patterns are best seen from an elevated position. From my second story windows the stripes were impressive but from ground level they were barely noticeable.

We'd try and create interesting patterns on my parents back yard when we were kids. Works well when you have a large open area that gets lots of light.

if it ever stops raining...
You wouldn't have any information on that would you ?????
Haven't done my FIRST mowing 8-12 inches and still growing in the rain !!

If it ever stops raining!!!!!!

This is the second straight week of rain. I did get a cut in on Friday late morning - last week. Had to adjust the deck up because it had been almost two weeks without a mow. Grass is growing like crazy - that's what I get for fertilizing!

So it looks like I'll keep the mower deck up until things dry out. But I least I get more seat time which is always good.

I definitely feels like April around here and not May. Today it was 55 and the normal high is the low 70's.

Same here too. Been raining and tornadoes all spring. With relatively cool weather.

I, too, fertilized this spring, and I am on the second year of my sod. It has grown like crazy and looks great. I have managed to sneak in cuts regularly. I think the longest I went was about 10 days. The 314 and 318 handled it no problem, but I did wish I had a bagger. I hate leaving longer clippings on the yard and if they are bad, like it was that time, I just make right hand turns and get most of the clippings in the center of the yard and rake them.

I am ready for the rain to stop. But I will take the snow again like we had this past winter.

I seen these striping kits at my JD dealership for $110.00.

Wife said: No way.
