I thought it had to do more with how high the arms can be lifted but I'm sure someone with real knowledge will come along and let us know. :trink39:

Limited Cat 1 is how high it lifts.

If you can wait, Deere has made changes in the 1000 series to eliminate some of the issues/gripes from the 2305. However, the 1000 series (last I checked) is on "quality hold" and the release date for the tractor has been pushed back.

i would never buy a tractor until they get the bugs fixed, it always happens......besides, all i see on that new 1 series is a different place to fill the tank, and a new hood, as always......2305's are great, try one.

:thanku: snoyes, I thought that was the case. Last I heard is that the 1023E's will be out in June and the 1026R's in August. They are supposedly going through every tractor that had been made and replacing the suspect parts.

Take a look at this video listed on John Deere Green Carpet
under the green carpet event as 3X20/4X20 CUT. The 1-Series is presented about one minute into the video. This video is in the lefthand column.

This site is very well done, videos on a number of topics and equipment.

I just went to the site and they pulled the 3X20/4X30 video probably due to the delay in the 1026R. :crybaby:

I would be wondering, after the 1023E gets released, will the remaining 2305 inventory be reduced to clear off dealers lots?

Here are some of the differences between the new 1026R and 2305.

1026R has:

Separate Transmission Cooler (no vulnerable fan)
Independent Mower lift
Auto connect mower
7-iron MMM drive-over deck
Auto Hitch
Higher Capacity (GPM) hydraulic pump
3rd SCV Option
25% increased loader lift Capacity
Fuel fill at fender (instead of hood)
Larger fuel tank
Folding ROPS
Position control 3PH
Tilt steering wheel
Suspension seat
Lighting Package
Loader-Mounted SnowBlower Option
More HP
40 Amp Alternator
Made In USA

If it ever arrives.....

wile thats all nice and all Id still rather not buy something fresh off the line Im sure there are plenty of bugs to work out atleast with the 2305 the limits are known granted dealers dont set the 2305 up with the light kits like they should but it seems that quite a few people get by

It's personal preference and how much money you have to spend.
The only thing on the list I would have preferred after5 years with the 3205 is maybe the seat and the trans cooler.

Definitely. No criticism intended -- I'd love to own a 2305. I was just pointing out some of the differences beyond the fuel fill.

Also, if reports are accurate it looks like the 1026R will come in a little over the 2305 price, and the economy version 1023E will be somewhat less. I think if they kept selling 2305 side-by-side with the 1-series, one of them would end up sitting on the lot.

TB -- Not sure why you had trouble, but I just watched it at the link CJ provided above. Great video!
I tried it from work and it didn't work and now I just tried it from home at it didn't. I have tried both IE and Firefox but that link is not activated while the others are. :fing20:

TB, I think I see where your problem is. There are actually two 3x20/4x20 links on that page. The one in the far right column is disabled. But the one over in the far LEFT column is still working (at least for me it is). It is the 9th link down under the heading "Green Carpet Event / Large Ag". Hope that helps.

:thanku: UT, that was it. I was trying the one on the right side. :banghead3

Could someone explain the loader mounted snowblower , how it works. I assume the bucket comes off and the arms are used to support the blower ? ??
It would be hydraulic-powered, instead of pto driven. It's hard to see how there would be enough latent hydraulic capacity to run it, so maybe there will be a separate hydraulic pump/reserve mounted at the 3PH and driven by the rear pto? That's how some of the bigger SCUTs do it, anyway.
