You have to be given the secret handshake to get in!!! :ROF

I had a great time last year and will be planning on making it again this year! I have made some improvements to my machine from last year!!! So I hope to go further than 100 ft before having to clear out the buildup under the tractor! I won't be bringing the middlebuster either!
i even secretly own a red tractor and i can't get in ...hahaha

One of the funniest things to watch year after year are guys who bring their tractors, ones that work, or don't, and by the following year they come back with bigger, better, and more improvements etc.. i love it! some guys started with 8hp gas tractor and an 8 inch plow, and now they bring a 25 hp. diesel with a 12 inch 3 point plow, its really something to see.

My wife has it marked on the calendar. We're planning to be there again this year......both days, we hope! :fing32:

PA Plow Day is pleased to announce that we will be raffling a John Deere 300, and brinly plow, owned by the VanAllan family.

Gary VanAllan, who lost his battle with leukemia in late 2010, was a tremendous supporter of plow day from the start. He was a John Deere garden tractor collector and enthusiast, who took great pride in his tractors, and sharing his knowledge with others. We would like to help share one of his favorite tractors by raffling it off at plow day. All proceeds will go to the VanAllan family, and we are honored to help in any way possible. We’re asking for your help to sell at least 200 tickets to support the family, and get your chance to win a complete plowing package. Ticket sales will begin today, and will end at 1pm on April 16th, 2011 at the Plow Day grounds in Riverside PA. Tickets will be $10 each, and all ticket sales will be through Bryan Seward, or at the registration shed at Plow Day.

You DON'T have to be present at plow day to win!

We need to reach our goal of 200 tickets, so Please help support a great cause, and a wonderful family!

Tractor specs: John Deere 300, original condition, brinly 10" plow, sleeve hitch, wheel weights, bar tires in rear. Gary ran the tractor with 5 rear wheel weights, we will be including one set, and possibly the front weight bracket and slab weights (TBA) Once the tractor is in our possession we can answer more questions related to accessories, and specs.

For more information, and to make ticket purchases please contact Bryan at 570-898-2013 , or email Bryan@SewardLandandLawn.com

Cant wait till plow day!!!
Gary was a friend of mine and I hope to win his tractor. I plan on buying quit a few tickets.
His wife Jen can really use the money you raise with this raffle.

Bryan and John,

This sounds like a great idea and I really applaud you making the effort on something like this. If there is anything that I can help you guys with for this effort, please just let me know.

Jeff
No one will Point and laugh and there are many people that will give you a hand setting up your plow and tractor.
It's a little clicky, yellow/white,green ,red. Most guys tend to hang with there own brand when plowing. Buy you wont have any problem getting a helping hand.

Dane in PA. I bring a five gal can.

I'm hoping I can build a 3pt hitch over the winter so I can plow with my Articulated diesel. NOW that would be fun. If not, there's always my 4016 like last year. It's a great time, I just hope Brian orders a little better weather this year.

dane, at least 5 like john said...but we always keep extra on hand!

Jeff, John hit that nail on the head, but when you get with those cubs guys, you'll be fine!

Scott, if you plow with that articulator, you'll be a show stopper for sure, as for the weather, you guys need to do a little requesting from mother nature too, shes not always my friend.

Bryan, I have talked to Mother Nature about the 2010 plow day being windy and cold. She said that the 2011 Plow Days will be 70 on Friday and 74 Saturday, both days being sunny !!!

John, 5 gallons is enough ??? :trink39:

Guys,

i need a little feedback on a few items we discussed tonight.

1. Night plowing. We are considering plowing after supper time on friday night, limited area to plow, but at night anyway, any comments?

2. a pig roast/supper friday night. A nice way to get everyone together so you don't need to go searching for supper elsewhere. Would be a basic charge for a pork dinner, with sides and such.

thanks for the feedback!

Im gonna see if i can pick up a trailer and bring down my SS/16. Im about 5 hours NEE of Riverside. I see that its mostly JD and Cubs, well Sears is gonna be there!! :D Im wicked excited for it.

As far as night plowing, I would be totally game for that since I have some kickin lights

i might have another sears as well as my 16 there if i can go. the other sears is a mystery though :hide: for me to know and you guys to find out

Well it turns out that I will be in Florida for my high school band trip, and wont be able to go :( I will definitely go next year though

This looks great. I wish I had one in my area - in fact I've thought about starting one. A question: What kind of ground are you plowing typically? Bean, corn ground? What works best? I would think Bean ground would be best from plugging stand point.
