Westa Type 450 snowblower

I agree, it looks like a clever adaptation of a rear mount snow blower. I'll try to PM a couple of our German members about this. Way too big for their x300s, but maybe Westa makes smaller?

Entirely too heavy for the machine. See the machine bouncing around when he is carrying the blower? These machines are work horses, but that's too much weight, too far out front.. Good way to bend the frame IMHO!

Pretty cool.

The Type 450 is Westa's smallest unit. More info here.

I can't tell for sure, but doesn't it have more hydraulic controls than the X700-series is equipped to handle? It almost looks like it might have an auxiliary hydraulic pump attached to the input PTO? Or???

Wow that thing is a beast.
I really couldn't see a PTO shaft how is it getting its power...
All hydraulic?
Rear PTO Pump?

Well I doubt it could ever bend the frame.

Looks like it handles the job just fine.

Trust me.... it very easily could bend the frame.. 3/16th inch steel will bend...

The X700 series is a beast... but every beast has it's limits.. Just watch the video.... that's a LOT of weight hanging WAY out front...

I thought I could see a front PTO shaft in the clip around 4:18-4:40. I think the blower blades/fan are being driven by it, but there also seems to be another hydraulic pump on the blower housing. Or??

And no real sides on the blower or at least it looks like the sides are rotating with the auger. That is a chute and a half! I think the operator needed a little more practice with it though, kind of stop and go.

****, a plastic shoot on that monster would be worth 100 pounds:biglaugh:
Come on guys, that blower would never see the good old U.S. of A.
There are no side on it, just let one idiot get caught in that and look at all the law suites the company would have:sorry1:
