Hi All

Can anyone tell me how strong a hydrostatic transmission is compared to a conventional one. I got my eye on a second hand turfcat T423D and see it does have hydrostatic Transmission. Can one tow a trailer with it or will I damage the transmission. Can it work hard like other tractors of same size.

Please assist

A lot of variables to give you help dude.. It depends on the trailer's weight.. Are your relatives living in it? :fing20::Stop::sorry1:

If it is a light trailer and you aren't hauling it to Egypt it shouldn't be a problem.. The biggest problem a hydro will have is heat/oil boiling / poor lubrication as a result.. I'm not too familiar with jacobsen hydros so I can't help you much mure.. :goodl:

It's an Eaton 11 on a Perless 2500 on those i believe. High and low gear and a big hydraulic fluid tank for cooling so you should be fine.
