:MTF_wel::wwp::wwp::wwp: Congrats on your new old rider. I must warn you though, it WILL become an addiction :trink39:

Proud new owner of a 111... sat for over 20 years and now it's coming back to life.
Welcome, I have 6 or 7 jd 111 Lawn Tractors. One I purchased new back in about 1981 that is on it's 3rd engine. I have 3 that are running and at least 3 more that I bought for parts. Let me know if I can be of any help. I have lots of photos and info in my gallery albums over on the WFM forum.

WOW! That looks amazing.

I would be thrilled if my either of my 111's looked half as nice as the "before" picture..

Came upon this 1983 111 a few weeks ago. Tractor was used for a couple years and then sat in a family members garage for the next 20+ covered with boxes and "stuff". After a very thorough inspection and rust cleanup, so far all I've had to do was install:
- Tires
- Fuel lines and filter
- Fuel pump
- Spark Plug
- Air Filter
- Oil
- Battery
- All 3 belts (trans, deck, and deck drive)

The old Briggs started up right away and runs like a champ. All 5 gears and reverse work perfectly.

Wow, I was thinking from the discription of a tractor that had sat for 20 years , it was going to a long hard slog having to deal with something left under a tarp or lean to . You got a nice machine to start with and it Looks pretty darn Good now !

Ps It wasn't sitting it was only resting and waiting for you .
