My wife flew down to Sydney from Qld to see visit with our daughter and family. The night before she left, she found this on Carsales.com.

Thats her in the pic checking it out. It's a 225 salnt six ATM but I have a 6354, 5 speed and 2 speed in an Acco sitting at a mates place (Hmmmmmm, is it worth molesting a previously un molested truck?). Original everything and an ex Shire Council vehicle completely original and un molested, rust free and tidy. We paid 12.5K au for the old girl which is probably a bit much but happy wife........... lol. She is driving the 1000 odd km home on Monday so I am wishing her luck and looking forward to a new toy .

Nice find. Wishing her, and you the best of luck with it.

Your wife is a good sport...if something like that followed my wife home she would make me sell the house and move where it couldn't find her..I hope you have fun with it...cool looking rig...what year is it?

Nice truck! Congratulations and enjoy it!!

I love it, but then I'm a Mopar man from way back.

I'd leave it as is, Drive it and smile

I like it the more I look. There may be a few non-stock things I'd remove but that's it. Original condition I bet right now there are very few survivors left like that. Sixty years...that's amazing and speaks for itself.

That looks like a good truck...for being a Dodge...
I'll have you know I have a 99 Cummins 3500 in a Dodge body that has been running like new the 21 year's I've had it. Other than trhe interior cratering and haveing to rebuild the front suspension, she's been a pretty good old truck and still getting 25mpg highway. ;-)

I agree with keeping it all original. That slant 6 was a tough little engine and bullet proof. The hardest thing about that engine is having to listen to that starter when starting it up. Tip: If y'all take a selfie in front of it, the steering wheel will be on the left side then.
OK, time to send her on another trip to see what follows her home.

Everybody NEEDS a service vehicle with a jib crane on the back!
