I picked this up yesterday, probably going to use it as a parts donor for my other 311. I think it is a 311, not sure, the indentation plate is missing, so I'm not sure of year either. It runs, has the wrong carburetor on it, and it needs a tune up. Foot clutch doesn't work, hand clutch does. I drove it on and off the trailer. Just thought I'd share, I haven't been here in awhile.

Still has the belt pulley on the side, looks in reasonable shape. Are you going to do a full refurbishment of it?
The tractor with the belt pulley is the one I had, the one I picked up doesn't have that pulley. Yes, I want to restore the one with the pulley. I bought the other one for parts. I need a rear rim , both of them have rusted out rims. Only other item I don't have is the grill, I've heard they are almost impossible to find.

You're going to probably have to find one of those really small places that a lot of people don't know about. The only one I can say I remember seeing some old Case tractors in is Burghs in Western PA, but they have a website now so they may be picked over too:

Tractor Parts | Farm Equipment | Burgh Implement Store

You may want to try posting a "want to buy" ad on TractorHouse. Open this link TractorHouse.com | Used Tractors For Sale: John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Kubota. and look to the left, in red column at the third item down. Doesn't cost anything to post, other than some time, registering, and leaving some contact info. It'd be great if you had the part number, but with this tractor maybe just a very good description of it, and years made. Lots of the smaller yards are linked up to it. I've received very nice used parts for several tractors, and an IH 990 MoCo. Depending on what day of the week, and if around a holiday, all responses I got were within 36-48 hours. And I believe somewhere in the fine print, you get a satisfaction guarantee.

I scrolled on down on the page, and looked in the dismantled machine list. It shows 3 of them. Hoods, and front cowling/sheet metal missing on 2. One shows hood and cowling, but no front shot to confirm a grill. Reckon' you could call and see, then if there is no grill, try the want to buy ad.

They're multiplying..
.another one followed me home today. It has been sitting in a barn for the past 18 years. Gas tank was dry, no rust inside, sediment bowl was empty, appears gas was drained when it was parked. Put gas in it, changed oil, it fired right up. This one is a 1956. Has wheel weights, no aux hydraulics. Also needs one rear rim due to rusted out bead. Hour meter shows 720 hrs, who knows, tach is working, so maybe.

Good deal..!! Seeems strange they all don't have the grills.Surely it can't be that difficult to remove them to get to the air cleaner, if it needed serviced. Or, are they not held in all that well to begin with?

They are hinged on the right side. I suspect they unlatch themselves and get hit while they are in the open mode. The frame is cast aluminum, most I've seen are broke right off at the hinge.
