When I was a kid (14 or 15), the down pressure came from me standing on the top of the box blade while dad drove the tractor. Not too safe, but a good memory none the less.
if it doesn't have down pressure, your only option is to add weight to the implement, or to rig-up something with a hydraulic cylinder.
My 2305 does not have down pressure either - so far I didn't need it... but have found myself adding 250lbs to a cultivator, to make it sink-in nicely....
