Re: 20hp.... K71.... and 48" Deck.... for $50

Awesome story Jared! Sounds like God sent him your way.
After the loss of my Husky from cancer, haven’t had heart to get another pup.

Eric sorry for your loss my friend and I truly understand. We lost our 2 beagles, Bogey @ 14 (2yrs. ago) & Bunny @ 13 (last year), both of cancer and I felt the exact same way. My wife was so depressed and against my wishes I gave in. This year God sent Belle (another beagle) our way, I honestly believe that. What we didn't expect was she is Bogey & Bunny rolled into one, a born & bred hunter yet sweet as the morning dew.

Nice score Jared. It even has the bumper intact. There's a blade for sale in Bellingham for $100 that might fit your GT. I think I have a charging system you can have, heck I think I have a whole engine. I'll have to look, but its yours if you want it.

I'll take it if you have it Dave. I've been meaning to make my way north and meet you anyways.

A blade lol. While I do appreciate the heads up...... I have many a blade! My 67 112H has a front blade, my 68 112H has a front blade, my 83 216H has a front blade and a center blade, and my 83 318 has a 4 way blade on it.

I got so many blades I could work for Ginsu lol.

Jared, machine is looking good! Are all the classics jealous your spending so much time on a "new" machine?? :sidelaugh
I seriously thought my LX188 was growling at me!! I am replacing my lawn tractor with a garden tractor!! I will be keeping it though as it has the 48" deck with the PF Bagger setup.

I had a busy morning before leaving for work...... ebayed a bunch of stuff. New traction belt, new traction belt idler and pulleys, new seat, new grille, new steering gear/sector, new deck belt....... and a Lincoln 140HD welder I have been meaning to buy for a while.

Last thing I need to get is a new set of front tires. Rear are checked with great tread so I tubed them. This tractor runs fantastic, trans works great, and will steer like new when the parts show up.

Ran out of time to finish the hood, my jetski repair job showed up but will get back to it here in a day or two. Reminds me I have a 10hp Honda OB I need to rebuild the carb in too...... Ugh...... Summer is here. Everybody needs their fun stuff made to run again. 2 words....... fuel stabilizer!!!

Off to bed.... have a good night fellas!!

What are you using to buff the hood with? I tend to prefer meguiars compounds, but always like to hear what else is good.

This hood was pretty crispy so it got a 1000 grit wet sand. I then start with 3M Imperial Finishing Compound on a wool pad and polish with 3M Finesse It fine cut compound mixed with water and sprayed on a foam pad.

I use what we use at work on boats. Working out one of these hoods is real similar to working out gelcoat as far as buffer speed and pressure. You can be a little more aggressive with gelcoat though....... a hood will burn easier.

I see. When I cut and buffed my 332 after painting it, I used Meguiars M105 on a wool pad, then M205 on a foam pad. This was after wet sanding with 2000, of course.
