So, The fabricated ones look like pieces of metal welded together? or have square corners?

I've only owned stamped ones, they all have those rounded tops. Search for pics of old Sears Suburban decks, those have hard corners and I believe those were fabricated.

A deck could be fabricated (welded) with curved ends, by cutting the top piece with the desired finish shape, then bending the sides to match before welding. The key is those rounded tops (complex curves).

I honestly don't know what the fuss is about with fabricated vs. stamped, assuming they're made with the same thickness and quality of steel. It's probably easier to repair a hole in a fabricated deck.

Yes look for the welds. Also not all have angled edges. Some are curved

Generally, fabbed decks use thicker steel than stamped.
