I used a bottle of seafoam in the tank this winter in my 226.It was cold out and the drive was blocked with a big drift.
It wouldn't stay running at a low idle unless i kept opening the idle mixture further.
After the first tank of gas it started smelling rich and i was able to turn the idle mixture screw back to factory settings and it idled just fine.
When i went to mow the grass last week i poured another bottle of seafoam in the tank.Probably didn't need another cleaning but it couldn't hurt.

I use it most of the time when I get new tractors run it through seems to work great then every month or so I just ad it to the 5 gallon can and it goes in everything. Been using it for years and never a complaint.

Used it in my fuel, to no harm, float was sticking, so I rebuilt it. When I put carb back on, and adjusted it ran fine. After that tank ran dry cutting the grass I had to re-adjust to run well with just regular gas.
Never had a problem, in tractor or cars, Fuel or oil. Used to leave it in for longer than 500mi prior to oil changes (every 3-4 changes) in my 250K Mi Accord.
I agree with Atlas' observation however, in the winter my engine seemed to lack power while running on it

It's good, but Berryman's B12 is alot cheaper and just as effective.

I use it in all of my OPE.

Seafoam is good stuff... But I prefer Marvel Mystery Oil...

And STP fuel injector cleaner in the red bottle does wonders as well.

I use it in every I.C.E . motor I own. I like it, especially in the 2 strokes, diesel too. I even put it in a spray bottle to clean off the OUTSIDE of my carbs.

Really cleans up the idle on the 4 stroke Briggs motors, but then again I run 10% ethanol blend gas now.....

I did a before inspection of one head of twin cyl onan manually cleaning off carbon. Buttoned it up and ran seafoam through per instruction to see what effect it would do on the other cyl I didn't clean. I pulled the other head and Low and behold it did work, not as good as manual but good enough to put off manually.

Just follow the directions on the can and you can use it anytime it won't hurt!!!
