Those tires would fit that 445 which andyb is fixing to trade in.
Then you'd have somethign to haul that other blower around with.
Who is AndyB? He has a 445 he wants rid of?

You having been reading his posts? He's another Virginian. Has a weekend lake house at Lake Anna, but lives in Harrisonburg, I believe. He's getting ready to buy a brand new x748, and is going to trade it in rather than sell it outright.

Haven't seen them. Remember I have been strapped in a truck for the last 36 hours.:ROF

Yea, well you should see how much larger the 47 Snowblower is for the 420 and 430. It is even larger than the 318 shell. I saw three of these 420/430 blowers this weekend as well.

After I catch up on my sleep, I will pull out the cab and start cleaning up the blowers, and maybe do a comparison thread of the differences b/w these blowers.
No--You can n sleep when you get older--you should be out in the workshop right now--cleaning up some stuff--and planning..

Seriously__That had to have been one heck-of a ride!! Glad you are back!

:congrats: :congrats: on your new investment and glad you had a safe trip here to the lovely midwest. In a couple of weeks I will be headed your way. slkpk

:eek:mg: dude 2000 miles??? You are a beast and you got a great haul! :thThumbsU Dang those blowers do look huge. I won't even ask but you must have gotten one heck of a deal to offset the fuel costs. I will be sure to :praying: for a 5 season stretch of back to back snow like we got this season just so you will be able to get your money's worth. :thanku: for the pics.

Good job Glockum. I would have thrown out the receipts too! It's not always about the money in a hobby.

When the dealership was selling motorcycles we would take excess inventory to another dealership in Fla. from NH. in the Fall. It held 10 -12 bikes.
What a long ride.In addition to all the usual stops we had to check the straps for slack.

Any how nice haul.

The hard part is going to be unloading the cab from the trailer so that I can get to the blowers. I am not sure how I am going to do that by myself. Should be a fun trick though.

Well, I just finished a very long road trip from Manassas, VA to Milwaukee, WI and back. For some reason when you tow an empty enclosed trailer for 2000 miles half way across the country, it tends to get filled up with lots of goodies (As long as you have a full wallet):duh:.

I would tell you about the long story of me leaving at 5am, and not getting home until 4pm the following day, while running on only 1.5 hours of sleep, but that might bore some you. I drove 36-38 straight hours there and back, and only stopped for two meals, and fuel about a 100 times. So I will let the pictures tell the story of what I picked up in Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, and finally Milwaukee, WI. Talk about some serious driving. Not sure I should have driven that far, but I wanted a Cozy Cab for my 318 no matter what. It came with all the doors, perfect glass, brackets, hardware, not to mention it is equiped with the original electric windshield wiper, interior light, and roof safety light. This is the correct 2nd series 318, 420, 430 Cozy Cab, which is determined by the large 1-piece front windshield, instead of the 1st series models that have the split front windshields. I am excited about getting this cab.

I also picked up the correct John Deere 47" Two-Stage Snowblower for the 318, which comes with the correct front mount, and most importantly, the PTO kit as well. I also just happened on finding the Brand New 47" Two-Stage Snowblower for the 425-455 Series GT's, that came with the driveshaft, mounting bracket, the front quick hitch, PTO kit, hydraulic lines, and an owners manual. I found it odd that the original 47" Snowblower for the 318 is about twice the size as the newer 47 Snowblower for the 445. I found two John Deere cast iron front weight plates, but I had to leave them behind because I didn't have any more money.:duh:

Anyway, here are the pictures.
And we'll have 2" of snow total in Virginia each year for the next 20 years now...:ROF

Wow! That's some trip. I hope someone as dedicated as you comes along when I list my deck, powerflow etc in the next month or two!

Wow! I guess missing that 49 in Pittsburgh really must've lit a fire! I just did a run down to Stafford Viriginia and then to Melbourne, Florida this weekend (the Dad Delivery Service) to get my son's car down to him and I thought 800 miles was a long day!!!! Nice haul Glockem and glad you made it back safely!

No its not.:ROF
Well then, you can be Glockem the Tractor Hunter.

Look over there mate. Now don't move quickly. That's a Haban sickle bar mower. Cute little thing, but a nasty temper. Don't want to get in front of those blades. Wait, Wait, she's moving. We have to go now or she'll disappear into the tall grass and be gone! Got her! Look at these teeth would you? Designed for tall stalky crops, but she'd just as soon take your thumbs off.
