You might have noticed the pedals are sprayed in LineX with a shiny black finish. The steering wheel, brake pedal, and foot pads will be done to match.

Work pulled me away from home for awhile. Back now, engine time! :bannana:

note the purple rag in whats left of an elbo connected to a nipple, stuck in the exhast flange.

Blow By, but hey it still ran decent... little smokey

Heat, remove elbo, heat nipple to red hot, cool, cut, cut a slit in remaining material, remove with big hammer and punch. 30 min to remove.

Here she sits.

Next is either d/t these broken bolts, or go shaft mounted pulley with screen, probably custom. we'll see...
I do not have the original pulley. Does anybody have a spare?

Looks like too much fun to me!

You are doing a super job. Are you going to remove the flywheel and check the condition of the seal?

How much did it cost to get your pedals sprayed? I would like to get my mower deck sprayed on the bottom side and the pedals done as well. I used to work at a place that did rhino lining, and we did the underside of the decks for a lawn outfit. We just didn't apply all the texture so it would stay fairly smooth and slick so the grass would fall off.

Lookin great. Can't wait for more pictures.

40 bucks(canadian). Its LineX. Not just the lineX though, it also has a special black pigment in it + a shiney black topcoat. Makes it shine more.

I confess -- I really have never used the LineX coating or similar product. But you mentioned something about using the coating without the rough stuff? If that is what I remembered you saying correctly, why didn't you just put the shiny coating and not use the rough stuff. Now looks like you will have to wear gloves every time you use the tractor and of course the steering wheel. Or am I missing something with why you rough coated it?

I used to work at a place that did Rhino lining.. you can spray it on smooth.. but it'll still run and not be perfect. We used to spray it slightly smooth on a bed to build up thickness.. then added the texture. I like the steering wheel idea.. it's gonna be rubbery.. not hard like sand paper.. so it probably won't be so bad.

Your doing a great job.
