Last night, and into this morning, we received a little over a foot of snow. Threw the plow onto the 444 this afternoon and had it. It took a little getting used to. I've always plowed and thrown snow on the 222. I have no 16" chains, but the tires were filled with washer fluid, plus the weight of my fat rear. Also, being that the tractor was in the shed, nowhere near the driveway; I had the chance to go snowmobiling with it in drifts up to two feet deep. I had a blast. And on the occasion when I couldn't get traction, the girlfriend standing on the hitch gave me enough to get going again... Which is kind of funny considering she's rather short and skinny.

He's a tiny little guy! Ten pounds soaking wet. He hates the rain and snow... basically cold weather in general. Amanda does her best to spoil him rotten; But he is a cool dog.

I was near Orlando frrom January 23-31... I can honestly say I'd rather have their weather this time of year. If you want my snow; Bring your truck and shovel and you can have all that's here.

We are on top of the Blue Ridge about 30 minutes west of Leesburg. Have about 30 inches. Finally stopped about 4 pm today. Photo is my daughters car parked in front of our garage door. The GC2300 can move the snow but I have no place to dump it! :Disgus:

What about Global Warming? With all of that snow I hope you get a slow warm spell so everything doesn't get flooded. slkpk

Al Gore, call your office...

Funny (true) story. Friend lived in Detroit while in the Army. When he retired, he moved to Williamsburg, VA. I asked him why he picked Williamsburg. He said "When I left Detroit, I tied a snow shovel to the roof of my car, and then drove south until somebody asked me what it was. Then I stopped and bought a house.":sidelaugh

Now all I have to look foreward to is raking stones from my yard come spring. Joy.

He should have kept going a few states farther south--that must have been a 'furrernur' he talked to...:fing20:

Just recently spoke with some friends in Leesburg VA, NW of DC. They measure 26" on the ground and still some coming.

They own a snow shovel ... but nothing more useful than that. Ouch

Brian
Very hard to find a snow shovel locally for last couple weekends...Sold out as fast as they are unloaded...

Yeah, he has since come to realize the error of his ways. He called me Monday to tell me how much snow he had in Williamsburg. But he lives in a retirement community now and so they have staff to help dig out from blizzards.

I just cleared out the first half of a total 10" to 12" prediction. It was nice, fresh, semi-wet snow and that Onan B48M didn't even labor. I've got other larger snow removal machines but this Ingersoll is just FUN to drive so it's the only one I have ready to go.

:trink39: :congrats:

I have a snowcaster... But the blade was easier to install, and the attachment bracket is somewhere in the garage... which is in the midst of a cleaning... So it's lost to the sands of time for the meantime. Both the blade and caster have their places. I'm not looking foreward to raking the oodles of stones from my yard come spring... But the ability to also use the blade to level out the ruts at the bottom of my lot is a definite plus a caster can't provide.
