It looks like the Eaton 850 Transmission in my Scag 61” is now officially a (very oily) boat anchor and I’m looking at Zero Turn mowers to replace it. I’m also looking at gang reel mowers I could pull with my quad...
Can anyone recommend a Zero Turn make or model or a way to keep 3 acres mowed without investing in fences and livestock?
I’m fishing for ideas here, meanwhile, that **** grass keeps growing...

And Thanks!

And plunge I did. 60” Cub Cadet is getting delivered in the next couple of days.
Mowing my lawn with a piece of equipment worth in excess of 5 times what I’m driving...
Nice! Be sure to post up some pics.

I know what you’re saying about your lawn whip being worth a lot more than your street whip. I drove a $1200 truck and mowed with a $10,000 SCUT for a few years.

Ok. Found them. On the back of the motor there’s a fitting with a hose connected. On that side of the motor (the side facing the rear of the machine) is also a nut looking fitting, it has a through hole toward the end of the hex. 5/8” deep well socket and a ratchet worked nicely. Two turns open and it free wheeled nicely...
