YT3000 blade engagement cable

I replaced the PTO cable but the new one is setup a little different. In the attached picture the top one is the old cable. The new one on the bottom looks different and I assume it uses some type of pin to secure it to the bracket. Anyone have any idea of what type
Of clip I need?

Do you still have the clip from the old cable? I think it would probably work.

That’s the thing, there was no old clip. It was held in place by the cable housing itself. The new one has no built-in clip.

Is there a parts diagram for it, that shows the separate clip now for the revised part?

But, I would expect either
1) it's the wrong cable
2) the cable would have the clip attached to it (ie, they would come as a set, not individually)

Maybe contact the seller or look on the parts diagram to see? Or contact another vendor to find out?

Assuming it's the right cable you will need a clip like this.

Yep, I ended up using a small hitch pin. Along with some rigging.... Don’t laugh, it works! It’s an old mower and I couldn’t wait anymore, lol! I did eventually weld the nuts to the u-bolt so it couldn’t slip down.

That black ring on the cable is supposed to be behind the clip. If it matters.

Yeah but it wasn’t enough to take up the room. The new cable end is deeper/longer from where the clip sits to the bracket. The u-bolt was the perfect size. I imagine the new design fits a thicker bracket.
