Yes, change the hydro's fluid and filter. Even if the previous owner change it, it will offer you some peace of mind. I have an X530 and have been very happy with it.
Found a nice X500 for $2400...290 hours and in excellent condition. Probably gonna pick it up Thursday.
Any quirks about these I should know?
Should the trans fluid be changed, because I'm sure the owner hasn't done it if it is changeable.
The X500 model is different from the other models in the X500 series in that it does not have a hydro filter to change. There is a cover plate in the same spot where the others have a filter, but there is no filter inside and there are no hydraulic lines going there, so adding a filter will not accomplish anything.Yes, change the hydro's fluid and filter.
I dunno, probably just drink beer and drive it around.Watcha gonna do with it?
Watch it there... I changed the hydro fluid on mine at 53 hours, so that makes me a nobody?and he even did the initial hydro fluid change at 60 hours that basically nobody bothers to do.
Sorry! Well that's what I get for making assumptions! "Because when you assume, you make an *** out of u and me" :sidelaughWatch it there... I changed the hydro fluid on mine at 53 hours, so that makes me a nobody?
:dunno:
Be careful not to **** any of your neighbor's off if you are going to drink and mow. My father in law had the police called on him for drinking a beer while cutting his yard. The police officers told him it was a neighbor that called and not to drink in the yard. :sidelaughI dunno, probably just drink beer and drive it around.
No, the X500 model itself has never had a hydro filter. All of the other models within the X500 series, the X530, X534, X540 and X590 do have them.Dude! Mine has no filter also! I thought I was crazy! Some do and some don't??
