Long ways from me but bound to be someone in your area to tackle it. Likely to get expensive knowing ring job at minimum plus fluids, etc. Best of luck to you and keep us informed.:thThumbsU
It's been a little while, how is the YM2210D running?I have an old Zen Noh (Yanmar) 2 cyl. diesel tractor (YM2210D) in need of some serious mechanical TLC. Its burning more oil than diesel, the tranny is iffy (not always engaging) and the hydraulics are sluggish (front end loader and a box blade on the 3 pt.). Its 40+ years old and I knew there were issues when we picked it up last year.
I did a thorough power wash yesterday so I can check for obvious leaks. I have topped off all the fluids and will do a test today. It starts right up usually.
Does anyone know of a good, reputable small engine diesel mechanic who can help with a smoky engine and wonky transmission/hydraulics? I travel a lot for work and do not have the time to tear into it myself. I am located in Waldo, FL, just outside of Gainesville (Go Gators).
